Wow, what a difference a day makes... Gorgeous day for the festival goers and gave me a chance to shoot the landscape that makes the festival truly Purbeck!
If you have never been I really suggest you pay a visit next year!!!

Much busier day at the PVFF today!
the headliners Afro Celt Sound System were simply amazing!
Unfortunately without a press pass I was stuck in a corner and could only muster a few decent shots.
My brief for the Purbeck Gazette is to capture the essence of the festival itself.
I just hope I'm doing it justice!

Hard work today! Firstly hats off to the organizers, it was torrential all day but most of the events went ahead.
I'm still to get "over the hill" to see the rest of the venue, that will hopefully happen tonight.
I didn't manage to get many photos due to the weather and not having a "pit pass so having to shoot between and over peoples heads, let's hope tonight is better!!
Such an amazing place with so many awesome people in attendance.
Can't wait for the next two days!

It's very frustrating as a photographer to be surrounded by the power of nature in all it's glory yet unable to capture it in one still image to show just how powerful it was.
The lightning was everywhere, literally every direction including directly overhead. Which, is a little scary when you are stood at the cliffs of The Downs in Swanage.!

The problem was it was so cloudy that the lightning, whilst stunning, hid in the clouds as sheet lightning.

The actual ground strikes you could count on one hand so it was just luck if you managed to catch one.

Hoping for more storms this summer!!!

Not too happy with the above shot, but it's a strike none-the-less.
