Do you know a man who has suicidal thoughts?
I do.
And that’s why this matters to me.
Sam is riding 738 miles across the UK Great North Trail — fully self-supported, 14 days — to raise £5,349 for men’s mental health. £1 for every man who died by su***de in the UK in 2024.
It’s called Break the Cycle. And it’s more than a bike challenge.
I first learned the weight of these numbers a year ago, while filming Steven Whittle — founder of . He said something I haven’t forgotten since:
3 out of 4 su***des in the UK are men.
Not a statistic. Fathers. Brothers. Friends. Men we know and love — who didn’t feel they could speak.
So I’m using my camera to do what I can. To show up. To break the silence.
If this reaches even one person who needed to hear it today — it’s worth it.
