M Huckfield Photography Hi there, welcome to M Huckfield Photography. I am an amateur photographer and this is my gallery. Thank you! Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

Photography is mainly a hobby for me, and I created this page because to my surprise people other than myself enjoy looking at the work I create. I have a volunteer role as a photographer for a football club, and this is the most regular source of images from me these days, although I do still try and fit in stuff of other subjects whenever possible. I hope you enjoy what you see, and I always welcome constructive feedback.

I booked onto this charter quite late. The angles and scenes weren't going to be particularly different to what I've gotten before, they would just feature a different loco. It was the loco that decided it for me.

A potentially controversial opinion, but to me, this "Beachy Head" is the nicest looking new-build standard gauge locomotive currently in operation. This was my first time seeing it, and I actually thought it was larger than I was expecting. A very fine machine, and I look forward to seeing it in operation properly at some point.

Photography wise, I tried not to overdo taking too many similar shots. The more serious attempts I took with my camera, but if I knew it was something that wasn't much more than a record of the moment I took it on my phone.

There are definitely a couple of images that will be making it onto this page, hopefully including the best 'chucking the fire out' image I have managed so far. For now, here is one taken on the phone.

Thank you to all who enabled this Timeline Events charter to happen. All of your efforts are very much appreciated.

I must admit, when I booked a place on this charter, I did so with a small amount of trepidation. I was very much looking forward to seeing this loco and stock in operation, but it being in May I knew that there was a chance of warm weather, and that is generally not helpful for steam railway photography. Also, I knew the area could get very busy, especially if it was nice weather, and that could make getting clean scenes frustrating.

As it turned out, despite it indeed being warm, some excellent driving by the crew means that the loco does look like it is working in the photos, and aside from a few cars annoyingly being parked in the background occasionally, we were rather successful with our locations.

It has been rewarding venturing out to my local standard gauge railway (a nice gentle day out for once!) and there are some images that will be making their way onto this page.

Thank you to all at the Chasewater Railway who enabled this David Williams charter to go ahead. Your efforts have been very much appreciated, and I hope the various images from the photographers in attendance help to highlight the excellently restored locomotive and rolling stock.

A second enjoyable day spent with The Firestorm Mando's. A lot of photos taken, and some I'm really pleased with.

Thank you to the team for having me along. It's not the sort of event that I've photographed before, and I hope my results will do the weekend justice.
