With so many hummingbird hawkmoths around this summer I had the opportunity to be a little experimental with shutter speeds. The challenge was to choose the perfect speed to show movement in the wings but still keep the moth sharp.

Tales from the riverbank

During an incredible canoe trip run by Canoe Wild we spotted this beaver feeding on the riverbank. The light was very low by this point but by steadying the camera on the canoe I managed to get a few sharp photos. Thankfully the Canon UK and Ireland R6 mrk2 worked brilliantly in such challenging conditions.
