A lot of brand photography right now is very polished but very samey. Clean backgrounds, neutral tones, safe poses… forgettable.

Fun Fact for a Monday!
Did you know NASA didn't just send astronauts up to the moon and hope for great photos? They actually hired two full-time photographers to train them.

Why? Because photography isn't just about pressing a button. It's about knowing how to see, how to capture and how to tell a story - even in the most challenging conditions, like the dark side of the moon.

My camera is 7 years old 😱

TBH this doesn't make a difference, you know why?
The camera doesn't make the pictures, it's all about the skills of the person taking the photo, (yes I am blowing my own trumpet here🤣)

Saying that, I am beginning to wonder how much longer I can push my camera for, but I always have my trusty back up, just in case. Which is the same camera but a couple of years younger.

I am a Sony girl and will never go back now!

We always laugh that if you don't want your kids getting into drugs, just teach them photography 😜

There's so much to learn about photography, that you never get bored. There's always more to learn and explore. I love finding new skills and new ways of capturing business in a new light.

January is probably not the month that you want a photoshoot!
You’ve eaten waaaay too much and drank waaaay too many calories to want to look back at all year!
However, it IS the right time to start thinking about one, and definitely the right time to book one.

I understand not everyone wants a full brand photoshoot and I definitely understand everyone’s budgets are stretched right now. But I also understand how professional quality photos can boost your business and help you stand out from your competition. They are an investment that is worth it every time.

No, photos are not the miracle you are waiting for. They are just a tiny part of the marketing process, however, they are the thing that grabs peoples attention in order to make them stop scrolling and actually read what your post is about.
