A few months ago I had the opportunity to spend the day at Yorkshire Tea HQ capturing behind-the-scenes photography and video during the production of their new 'Health and Safe Tea at Work' campaign.

With two production units filming in parallel, my role was to document the energy, creativity and collaboration behind the scenes while staying completely out of the way of the production itself.

It was a fantastic shoot to be part of, working alongside Yorkshire Tea, Jaywing and Them Apples, and it’s great to finally be able to share some of the images now the campaign has gone live.

I’ve put together a full project case study featuring behind-the-scenes photography, the finished campaign film and a short video where I talk through the handheld setup and workflow I used throughout the day.

A few months ago, I was brought in to capture behind-the-scenes photography and videography for a really fun campaign shoot at Yorkshire Tea headquarters.

Huge thanks to Kyle at TopCatch Goalkeeping for the kind words! In my spare time I coach junior football including my own son who's a goalkeeper, so this one was a particularly fun one to work on.

I’m delighted to see my new SEND-Friendly Family Photography sessions featured in the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Beautiful family photography should be for everyone, and it’s wonderful to be able to share that message with a wider audience.

Many thanks to the Yorkshire Evening Post for the coverage.

The SEND-friendly family photography sessions will be available across Leeds and Yorkshire

When I'm, not shooting I coach junior football including my son who's a goalkeeper, so when I was asked to join TopCatch Goalkeeping, Kick On Academy and Leeds United goalkeeper Alex Cairns to capture their first joint goalkeeper camp last week I jumped at the chance. It was a really fun shoot and I absolutely loved capturing it. Big thank you to Kyle Letheren for giving me free reign on this one, really pleased with how it came out. Was a fantastic day - some absolutely fantastic goalkeepers on display (including mine!) ⚽️ 🧤

Beautiful family photography should be for everyone.

I believe every family deserves the opportunity to capture meaningful memories together, regardless of disability, diagnosis, additional needs or neurodivergence.

That’s why I’ve recently launched my new SEND-Friendly Family Photography sessions across Leeds and Yorkshire.

These sessions are designed for families who may benefit from additional preparation, flexibility and a calm, child-led approach. They include options such as pre-session questionnaires, tailored social stories and introductory video calls to help children feel comfortable before we even meet.

The goal isn’t perfect poses or perfect behaviour.

It’s about creating a positive experience and capturing genuine family connection, personality and real moments.

If you know a family who may find this helpful, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d share this post with them.

Send me a message for more information or visit the link in my bio.

I’m delighted to announce the launch of a new service that’s been in development for a little while: Sensory-Friendly Family Photography Sessions.

I believe every family deserves the opportunity to capture meaningful memories together, regardless of disability, diagnosis, additional needs or neurodivergence.

These sessions have been designed specifically for families who may benefit from additional preparation, flexibility and sensory-aware support. They include options such as tailored social stories, pre-session preparation and a calm, child-led approach designed to help children feel comfortable from the very start.

The goal is simple: to make family photography more accessible and create a positive experience that captures genuine family connection and personality.

I’ve written a blog post explaining the thinking behind the service and what makes these sessions different which you can read below.

If you know a family who may find this useful, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d share this post with them.

Thank you for your support.

I believe every family deserves the opportunity to capture meaningful memories together, regardless of disability, diagnosis, additional needs or neurodivergence.

📷 In Shadow & Light #82, we uncover a remarkable rediscovered archive of postwar street photography, explore cinematic approaches to light and storytelling on the streets, revisit the mystery behind one of the most iconic images ever made, and reflect on the powerful storytelling of this year’s World Press Photo winners. From lost negatives to global narratives, this month’s selection highlights photography’s enduring ability to document, interpret and reveal the world around us.

Hope you like it!

Shadow & Light is a list of curated photography stories, features, techniques, news and inspiration that I've come across this month.

📷 THINKING OF BOOKING A FAMILY SHOOT?

Just a heads up I'm going to be slightly repositioning my family shoots over the next few weeks. As part of this repositioning I'm working on something new which I think will help a lot of families. Watch this space.

In the meantime, if you've been thinking of booking a shoot I'd suggest getting in touch soon to lock in current pricing. You can message me here or on [email protected] 👍🏻

I’m delighted to be partnering with Butterfly Conservation and Leeds City Council over the next six months to document the Leeds Wild Spaces project - a brilliant initiative focused on creating new habitats for butterflies, moths and other pollinators across Leeds.

The first shoots have already taken place, covering plug planting and seed sowing sessions as these new Wild Spaces begin to take shape across the city. Projects like this are always a pleasure to photograph because they combine environmental conservation with genuine community involvement - documenting not just the spaces themselves, but the people helping create them.

I’ll be sharing more photographs and updates over the coming months as the meadows grow and the project develops through spring and summer.

You can read more about the project on the blog below.
