Set against the charming countryside backdrop of Abbots Court Rural Retreat & Wedding Venue near Blandford, Dorset, Mr and Mrs Mansergh’s wedding was a beautifully relaxed and joy-filled celebration. With crisp blue skies and golden afternoon light, the day began in perfect sunshine, briefly interrupted by a fleeting midday shower that only added to the atmosphere and romance of the occasion. We had the utmost pleasure of capturing every moment from intimate morning preparations to the evening celebrations featuring a hard-to-crack sweet-filled piñata (with hilarious results).

The natural beauty of the venue paired effortlessly with the couple’s elegant style, which created timeless images full of warmth and authenticity. This Dorset wedding was a truly unforgettable celebration of love, set in one of the county’s most picturesque rural retreats.

The Sound Sanctuary - Das Spezial

In March, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Arts University Bournemouth and .sanctuary to document a unique and powerful intersection of art, music, and contemporary dance.

Hosted in the AUB drawing studio, this wasn’t just a performance - it was a sensory experiment. As the Sound Sanctuary and Das Spezial filled the room with frequencies, the music moved the dancers, and the dancers inspired the artists. It was a unique “mark-making adventure” that asked: How do you draw dance? And how does sound translate to a canvas?

This represents a similar journey I have taken over the last 11 years in my adventure to capture dance through photography. I am always looking how to push boundaries to capture the fugitive gesture.

Destination: Tuscany, Italy 🇮🇹

Tuscany just hits differently in the spring. We spent a few days in April 2025 tucked away at the perfect for and Stuart’s wedding, surrounded by olive groves, chickens, and a literal endless supply of Prosecco.

That famous Italian light is no joke - it truly made every shot look like a film still. From the rolling hills to the actual “I dos,” the whole day felt effortless and perfect from start to finish. Just a dream!

Looking back at a project that stayed with me. 📸

In 2024, I had the privilege of working with Hampshire Cultural Trust on “Basingstoke’s My Home: Local Stories with Global Roots” for The Willis Museum and Sainsbury Gallery.

I spent my days being welcomed into people’s homes and listening to the incredible journeys of people who now call Basingstoke home. It wasn’t just about the portraits; it was about the trust and the stories behind every face.

Last week, I had the opportunity to work with a hugely talented group of young people and dedicated staff at Big Little Theatre School. Their production of Kander & Ebb’s backstage murder mystery musical comedy ‘Curtains’ was a pleasure to photograph. Many thanks go to Bournemouth School for Girls for their hospitality.

I look forward to hopefully working with the team at BigLittle again in the future.
