Is there anything better than making the fridge?

Jenny sent us this photo of hers, and there amongst all the little pieces of her life are photographs from our day together in Glencoe.

It’s actually quite an honour when you think about it. A photograph we made together becoming one of the memories you choose to live with every day.

We want to photograph more women. ❤️ Women who avoid the camera. Who think they need to lose weight, be younger, feel more confident or somehow be a different version of themselves before they deserve beautiful photographs.

You really don’t.

Perhaps a wander around a Perthshire forest with us, a camera and a flask of coffee is a rather lovely place to start. 🍂☕️ No posing. No pressure. Just a bit of space to relax, laugh and borrow some caffeine-fuelled confidence along the way.

🍂 Our Autumn Forest Portraits are back! 🙌

For a few weeks this October and November, we’re heading back into the woods at Kinnoull Hill for relaxed autumn portrait mornings.

A wander through the trees, gorgeous autumn colour, beautiful photographs and, of course, we will bring the coffee. ☕️

Autumn 2018. Jennifer & Mike. ❤️

One of those Glencoe days where the light just did EVERYTHING. Jennifer got rather overexcited about the deer 😂 and we spent a lovely day wandering, photographing and generally having a very good time.

Looking back at these two made me smile because, although we didn’t know it then, Jennifer & Mike were already part of the gang.

In fact, all of you who’ve adventured with us over the last ten years are.

Back in the summer of 2019, two lovely humans we had met through Instagram came to Scotland and somehow ended up climbing a mountain with Richard and me. As you do.

Lena and Joella had already been subjected to quite a few of our ideas, but this particular day involved Buachaille Etive Beag, Joella bagging her first Munro and, because apparently that wasn’t enough, a Victorian explorer outfit I’d brought along for ✨a vision✨. Poor Joella. Up a Munro. In a skirt. 😂

Looking back over ten years of The Auld Romantics, THIS is the stuff we keep coming back to. Our favourite days were never really just about the photographs. They were about the people we met because of them. ❤️
So... would you have put the skirt on, or told us where to shove the ✨vision✨? 😂🤔
