🎃 Halloween is officially done and dusted… now it’s straight into Christmas mode! 🎄✨

The Christmas set is all ready to go and I can’t wait to welcome lots of little ones into the studio for some festive magic! 🎅🏼❤️

Just a little update while I’m here…

📸 Sweaty Mama Halloween photos: I’m aiming to have all galleries sent out by the end of today, or tomorrow at the latest!

💌 Messages & admin: It’s been a very busy few weeks, so I’m a little behind on emails and messages. I’ve got a full day set aside on Tuesday to catch up with everything, so if you’re waiting to hear back from me, thank you so much for your patience! 🥰

A little diary update ❤️

Things are definitely starting to ramp up here and my busiest time of year is just about to begin! 🥰

Most of the time you’ll find me tucked away in my Bonnybridge studio, but I’ve also got a few lovely days out and about coming up over the next few months. I’ll be joining Sweaty Mama for their Halloween and Christmas specials in Alva, Carronshore & Larbert, spending Halloween with Hartbeeps in Broxburn, and then heading along to Baby Buddies in Polmont for some festive fun 🎃🎄

My usual studio sessions will still be running in between, including newborns, babies, families and Christmas Minis 🤍

If you’re hoping to book a session anytime between now and Christmas, I’d definitely recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later. This is always my busiest time of year and my diary can fill up quickly, so booking ahead is the best way to avoid disappointment.

I’m also heading off to Australia just after Christmas, so I’m trying to be extra organised and get everything planned nice and early this year ✈️🤍

Lots of lovely things coming up and I can’t wait for the busy season to begin! 🥰

This year’s Christmas Minis are £125 and, as always, I like to keep things nice and simple… ALL of your beautifully edited digital images are included! 📸✨ You can usually expect around 20+ images from your session, so there’s no having to choose favourites afterwards.

🎄 CHRISTMAS MINIS ARE COMING! 🎄

Set your alarms… Christmas Mini Sessions will officially open for booking on Sunday 13th September at 7pm! 🤍

I’m so excited for these this year and I’ve already purchased some gorgeous new backdrops… although I may have given myself a problem because I can’t decide between these two! 😂

So I’m going to photograph both setups with my little models on the 13th and I’ll be sharing the finished photos for you all to help me decide which one makes the final cut! 🎄✨

The dates I’m currently planning are:

🎅 Saturday 21st November
🎅 Sunday 29th November

If none of these dates work for you, please get in touch. I’ll always do my best to accommodate you where I can 🤍

After keeping my Christmas Mini price the same for the past 6 years, there will be a small increase this year from £99 to £125.

As always, I like to keep things simple with one all-inclusive package, so there are no decisions about which photographs to choose afterwards. You’ll receive all of your beautifully edited digital images, usually 20+ photographs, included in the £125 price 📸

Have a bigger family or more little ones?
If you think you’ll need a little longer than the standard mini-session time, please book either the very first or very last appointment of the day and get in touch with me. This means I can arrange for us to start a little earlier or finish a little later without eating into another family’s session.

Are newborn photos safe?

Yes, absolutely. Your baby’s safety is always my number one priority. 🤍

Every pose is done gently and at your baby’s pace, and I never force a baby into a position they’re not comfortable with. If your little one isn’t settled or doesn’t like a particular pose, we’ll simply move on to something else.

My studio is kept warm and comfortable, and I allow plenty of time for feeding, changing and cuddles whenever they’re needed. Newborn sessions are always calm, relaxed and completely baby-led.

You can relax knowing your little one is in safe hands, allowing you to enjoy the experience while I capture those precious first memories. 💛

What if my baby isn’t sitting independently for their sitter session?

That’s absolutely fine! 🤍

For a sitter session, I recommend waiting until your baby can sit confidently on their own, as it gives us the most variety and helps keep them safe throughout the session.

If your little one isn’t quite there yet, don’t worry. Every baby reaches milestones at their own pace. We can simply wait a few more weeks and find a new date when they’re ready. I’d much rather capture them when they’re happy, confident and able to enjoy the session.

What if my baby doesn’t like getting messy?

Don’t worry at all, not every baby loves getting covered in cake, and that’s completely okay! 🤍

Every little one reacts differently. Some dive straight in, some prefer to investigate first, and others would rather not touch the cake at all. I never force anything and always let your baby lead the session.

There are lots of ways to encourage them, from letting them explore at their own pace to getting mum or dad involved. And if they decide cake isn’t for them, that’s absolutely fine too! We can still capture plenty of gorgeous smiles, curious expressions and beautiful portraits that you’ll treasure for years to come.

The best photographs are always the ones that reflect your baby’s unique personality, messy or not! 🎂

How often should I update my brand photos?

I usually recommend updating your brand photos every year, or sooner if your business has changed.

If you’ve introduced new products or services, had a rebrand, changed your style, or simply don’t feel like your current photos reflect your business anymore, it’s probably time for a refresh.

Keeping your brand photos up to date helps your website and social media feel current, builds trust with potential clients, and ensures people see the face behind the business. After all, your business is always evolving, and your photos should evolve with it too! 🤍

Can grandparents be included in family photos?

Yes, absolutely 🤍

Grandparents are always welcome to be included in family photos, and I honestly think those images become some of the most special ones to look back on. The photo I’m sharing today is one of my own mum and granny, and it’s such a lovely reminder of how important it is to capture those generations together.

Whether you’d love a few photos of everyone together or some special images of grandparents with the grandchildren, I’m always happy to include them in your session. These are the kinds of photographs that only become more meaningful with time ✨
