When we took a trip to the studio together to have a play around snapping away with ‘the new chair’, I didn’t expect her to actually imitate a baby, but I’m so happy she did.

A birthday is the perfect time to reflect on the abundance of experiences, achievements and growth that we have encountered throughout our lifetime so far

Most, I’ve found, only think of capturing special photographs to celebrate their little one’s birthday…

…however, Adam got top hubby points when he arranged to have these beautiful moments captured as a birthday surprise for his wife Charlotte

The greatest privilege of all, is to be welcomed into your family, if only for a fleeting window of time. To be gifted with an insight into what makes you, you, and to capture the moments & sentiments that are truly unique to you.

During my visit to Baby Nahla & her family, I noticed her wearing ‘black thread’ around her ankles and I remembered how, years ago, when I met her big brother Niam as a new baby, he wore them too.
It was very special to be taught by their beautiful mum that the black thread, ‘kala dhaga-nazar’, is traditionally worn by babies and small children to protect them from negativity and harm.

Thank you Bhavisha for sharing this with me and for allowing me the honour of capturing such special moments for you for a third time. I can’t wait to share the rest of your beautiful photographs with you
