Crimson, magenta and jade washed the sky on Thursday night. The Aurora was back for the second time in 2024 and what a treat. Great to see so many people down at the Hard to witness the spectacle.

I’d love to hear what you think of these photos; do you love them, do you hate them?

A huge thank you to Anita Frost and Kevin Flower for the amazing first Tollesbury Arts Trail. Huge amount of effort to pull of such a great day for the artists of Tollesbury and for Tollesbury as a village. Congrats and time for a well earned rest!!!

Final preparations for the Tollesbury Arts Trail tomorrow. My work will be on display on the Tollesbury Photographic Group stand in the Congregational Church. I'll have photos which are predominantly from Tollesbury and a few more exotic pictures from Western Australia too. Come and say hi when you're wandering past, I'll be on the stand throughout the afternoon.

I'll also be out and about during the morning photographing as many of the artists as I can get to. So wave if you see me dashing past!

Should be a great day for Tollesbury.

I have a vision of the Buttermere valley, sunny, warm, so very relaxing and of course utterly beautiful. But as I drove through the rain passed Keswick and in to the Newlands valley, the sky became darker, the mountains more aggressive and I felt a sense of anxiety that should have felt so out of pl

What is there to say about this icon that hasn’t already been said a million times? All I can say is that it’s a dream of a car to photograph, so many curves, so much character and so much chrome. Just got to love it!

I first spotted the Fair Chance back in 2017, full of character, life written all over the shabby wooden hull, this colourful little boat was just perfect for a photographer. Over the past 4 and a half years, I’ve photographed her on numerous occasions but I was so concerned back in August ‘21 t...

Spending time out on the sea wall is a great antidote to the strange times in which we find ourselves. Out here as the changing seasons soften the wildness, the moon and tides chart time passing, Coronavirus is the worry of a distant world. Somehow out here we are insulated, forgotten, bypassed, an

The sun shone on the VE Day 75th Anniversary celebrations, lifting the mood in Tollesbury. We don’t do so well being locked away and having to avoid each other here in Tollesbury, so today was a welcome relief, albeit with social distancing in force. I very much enjoyed dashing round the vi

As we entered a period of social distancing and then very quickly moving in to lockdown, I felt it important to get out of the house, get away from the TV news for a little while and to stay in touch with the world around us here in Tollesbury. I’ve been posting images on Instagram every day from ...
