Spotted in the wild recently… during a recent meeting at a client’s home to discuss their marketing plan I happen to go to the bathroom and lo and behold, I found one of my images hanging in their bathroom. It’s of Caffe Driade and they’d bought it there years before meeting me!

I am excited to share that I’ve worked with the printer and now have the ability for folks to order this metal print from my website to have shipped directly to your home.

Currently, I only have this print listed in different sizes, but will certainly be adding others to it. If there is a different image that you know I’ve taken, I’m happy to work with you to discuss sizes and options forr printing (canvas, metal, print, etc).

Barbados for an amazing meal using locally sourced food mixed with amazing ambiance on the beach. Watch the sunset as you dine. Go surfing in the morning on the south coast at Freights or Drill Hall beach and grab a smoothie or breakfast at ArtSplash Centre.

For a bit of history check out the George Washington House (Barbados) or go on a rum tasting tour St. Nicholas Abbey.

To close out one of your evenings, definitely take a ride on the Silver Moon Barbados for a delightful catamaran tour.

Iona is such a magical place, a thin space, and while in many ways it’s the simplicity of life, the attention to detail and color that unfolds as the light shifts and dances illuminating different details that captures my heart and eye!

Hi -

I'm going to offer a summer series of photo workshops that I've done in the past. I have two options and would love to get feedback if you or your family members (or friends) are interested in participating.

At this point I'm considering dates and am open to suggestions if you think you may be interested. I can share details about costs 1 on 1 if you express interest.

1 One for kiddos who are interested in learning the basics of photography. In the past this was a 6 classes over 6 weeks, but could be condensed to perhaps 2 classes per week for 3 weeks.
2 The second is a workshop for adults focused on improving photo composition and using your phone to capture those images. This can be offered in a 2 part setting (probably 2 hours per day) or I can do it in a slightly longer 1 day setting (likely a 4 hr day, maybe 3). This could be an evening or possibly a weekend workshop.

I'm also happy to do a workshop on composition and your camera if there's enough interest and I do offer one on one personalized classes.

Hi all -

I have a few pieces of news and I'll post them in two posts to keep things simple. The first thing is that I'm getting close to publishing a book of images of Iona and Staffa (Scotland) and I would love your help! The book cover is below.

The layouts are mostly complete, but I'm having a few debates about a couple of layout options and which photos perhaps should or shouldn't make the cut.

So, this is where you can come in to help! I would love to schedule a zoom to share a sneak peek and get some insights about what to keep/cut or which layouts perhaps might better serve the images.

If this is something that interests you and you'd love to help be a part of the process, leave a comment below! Ideally, I'd like to schedule this meeting to occur within the next week and a half (or less).

Sunset at Dover Beach

Walking along the surf and playing with my camera as the waves rolled into the shore makes my heart sing, I admit. The feel of the water. The anticipation of whether it will splash all over my camera. Whether it will splash all over me. Will it be warm or cold? The childlike-wonder of how will it feel, and how hard or soft will it be when it splashes and crashes against me. Seeing and feeling the last little bit of light. How it makes me feel inside. How it illuminates the waves. The shift of light and how it hides or brings things forward delights my senses.

Staying here in Barbados has in many ways simplified my life… I have what was brought in my small suitcase. Other than grocery shopping, I haven’t wanted to go shopping. I’ve mostly been content without feeling a need to see or do it all. I’ve read more than I have in years. Probably since college and I love to read. Do I wish at times I’d brought a few things and left a few behind, yes… But the peacefulness of the sea, taking time to read, capture images, edit, and do work during the day and stroll in the sea by dusk, cook super delicious meals with my friend who has been kind enough to host me during this extended stay has been superb. I’m really going to miss all of this. And I’m chuckling as I’m also realizing I want to be somewhere cool when it’s July/August to escape the NC heat/humidity.
