Based just outside the lovely city of Lincoln. Welcome to Nigel Ord-Smith Photography. We've based in Timberland, Lincolnshire, and hold sessions on location at a couple of fabulous wooded locations in the local area and, for smaller dogs or individually if larger, at our small home studio. We've been specialist dog photographers since 2014 and have gained recognition for our work with numerous aw

Three years ago Bramble Mouse arrived as a timid little bundle of bones (bottom right image was taken a few days after she arrived).
Three years of mayhem has followed! Kidding. Almost. She can be a bit of a b*gger at times, and too energetic for Molly Moo and Martha Beans, but she's an absolute little character and a sweetie really.

So. I did a thing the other day. I crept out of retirement and photographed a dog! The first for nearly nine months (apart from our own, of course).
And a bit of a beauty too. Meet Bailey, the Curly Coated Retriever.
We'd been trying to arrange his session since August 2023 (!) and had a record number of reschedules due to a variety of reasons, mostly the weather and then my back issues.
I had a steroid injection in my back a couple of weeks ago (I chickened out of a full operation) and we finally got to hold Bailey's session a couple of days ago.
The weather was perfect, and Bailey was a bit of a star, as you can see. Perfect eye contact, and a slight tilt of his head. It's almost like he had along time to practice ...
