Starting out in music photography back in 2007, supplying the world's media with so so pictures of people invariably with a guitar or a microphone in their face - I drifted toward wedding photography because of the more sociable hours and potential for some photos that look nice and don't have musicians in. I love weddings much more than sweaty, cramped pits so it was a good move.
