Today John and I dropped copies of Moira the Moniaive Moggy – Finding Her Place into Waterstones 😊

It was really lovely meeting Elaine and her colleague, and still quite surreal seeing Moira heading onto the shelves of Waterstones Dumfries.

We also dropped books off at Ewart Library, where copies will now be going out to libraries across the region, which is another thing I never imagined when I first started creating the book.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported Moira so far — through buying the book, sharing posts, visiting the Moira Trail, or simply encouraging me along the way.

It really does mean a great deal.

Book 2 is already underway, with snowy Moniaive scenes and some new animal friends beginning to appear… ❄️🐴🐈

This locally inspired children’s book follows Moira as she explores the real places around Moniaive, and has been enjoyed by families, visitors, and the community that inspired her story.

💛 Moira now has her own little corner online 💛

Over the past few months, I’ve been quietly working away on something a bit special, and I’m really pleased to finally share it properly.

Moira the Moniaive Moggy now has her own dedicated website — a calm, gentle space that brings the book together in one place. You can find out more about the story, take a look inside the book, and also find information for libraries and independent bookshops who may be interested.

The website reflects the spirit of the book itself: unhurried, rooted in place, and made with care. It’s been lovely seeing how warmly Moira has been received already, and this felt like the right next step as the journey continues.
