Final event of the weekend was at Tattershall Castle with the one and only Plantagenet medieval archery and combat society. One of their final events of the year and they go out with a bang! such a wonderfull backdrop for a great medieval day out.

Photos are uploaded of The Flight of Charles II! An amazing event organised by South Staffordshire & District Bridleways Group, Boscobel House and Gardens and British Horse Society. It was a fantastic day, bringing the story of Charles II’s escape to life through horses, riding and living history.
Massive thankyou Worcestershire Cavalry for inviting me to join them, they did an incredible job portraying King Charles II and his entourage and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph them throughout the day.

Managed to get 1/2 way through editing the photos from today at Ludlow Castle and here are my faves.
Thank you Beaufort Companye - The Big Blue and Coventry Levy - Medieval re-enactment group for allowing me to capture such a great show. You definatly didnt let a bit of rain dampen your spirits!

I promise to have the rest edited ASAP! however the rest of my bank holiday is booked up with other events!

Who doesn’t love a few bloopers?

From archery mishaps to one very happy knight who looks far too pleased to be getting beaten up, Plantagenet medieval archery and combat society probably had just as much fun as the audience at Hereford Medieval Festival

They’re such an incredible group to hang out with, and they really went out of their way to make this little blonde photographer feel welcome.

An absolute joy to photograph, especially when there’s this much chaos, laughter and enthusiasm involved!

If you ever get offered the chance to attend a medieval banquet inside Hereford Cathedral, absolutely take up the offer!

What an incredible night! The setting alone was spectacular, but the entertainment from Plantagenet medieval archery and combat society really brought the evening to life and made it feel like we had been transported back to medieval times.

It was a fantastic experience to photograph, and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to be there.

Photos from the Hereford Medieval Festival are uploaded! 📸

It’s so hard picking favourites from this one, there were so many fantastic moments to capture.

Plantagenet medieval archery and combat society did an incredible job of showcasing all aspects of medieval life, from music, dance, archery, combat and everything in between. It was a fantastic event to photograph, and I hope the photos do justice to all the hard work that went into it.
