Our remote pilot managed to grab one last shot of the iconic ironbridge power station cooling towers today before they are gone forever. Demolition set for tomorrow at 11 am.

As of tomorrow (30th November) it becomes law that any drone weighing more than 250g up to 20kg must be registered and anyone who uses a drone must also register as a pilot.

If you own a drone you must register with the CAA & get an ‘Operator ID’, which must be displayed on your drone. This costs £9 (irrespective of how many drones you register). You just also be over 18 to do this.

If you fly a drone (even if using or borrowing a friend’s) you must register as a pilot & get a ‘Flyer ID’.
