👑 When the British Consulate General in New York contacted me to film at a teddy bear workshop, I never imagined I would become part of a special “mission” for Queen Camilla.

🧸To mark the 100th anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh and during the Queen’s visit to New York, Roo - the baby kangaroo from the beloved stories - was reunited with the collection at the New York Public Library after having been lost since the 1930s.

🎥 My role was to film the creation of baby Roo at the last remaining teddy bear manufacturer in England, based in the West Midlands.

It was a pleasure to film and meet the team at Merrythought - a place rich in tradition and filled with passionate craftspeople.

Mission accomplished!

A surgical robot was definitely missing from the list of businesses and products I’ve filmed and photographed.

One of the best parts of this job is getting to meet great people, visit different places, and experience such a wide variety of industries and innovations.

Last week, I had the chance to work behind the scenes at UK Fintech Week.

The LATAC team from the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) explored exciting business opportunities in the UK’s vibrant fintech ecosystem.

Over 100 delegates from Latin America and the Caribbean—including fintech founders, financial institutions, regulators, and central bank representatives—attended a range of events at iconic venues such as Revolut HQ and Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

For initiatives like this, my goal is to capture the essence of the experience through short-form videos: interviews with key voices, highlights of the people in attendance, and the unique energy of each event.

A big thank you for the support on the video production side to Pablo Derpich, Head of Investment at DBT Chile and Alexandre Botao, Deputy Head of Marketing and Communications for Latin America & the Caribbean | DBT LATAC.

2024 marks the third year in a row that Clipics has covered the videography / photography production for the World Nuclear Symposium.

The event, held in London in September, is the place to meet global leaders of the nuclear energy industry, exchange ideas, and stay up to date on the latest industry developments.

Given the increasing global demand for energy and the need for clean energy sources, nuclear energy is now at the forefront of policy discussions.

Following the launch of the Net Zero Nuclear initiative at COP28, 120 nuclear companies have committed to tripling global nuclear capacity by 2050.

Such an ambitious goal requires a strong communication strategy to reach as many stakeholders—lawyers, bankers, politicians—as possible, emphasizing the importance and safety of nuclear energy.

Our videos featuring interviews and highlights from the event will soon be available on the World Nuclear Association’s social media pages and website.

It has been a pleasure and an honor to be part of this event, and we look forward to next year’s 50th anniversary of the Symposium.
