This week, we had the incredible honour of photographing Shannon and Blake Cloughley’s beautiful wedding at the stunning Crewe Hall. Every moment was filled with so much love, joy, and laughter — and we feel truly privileged to have been a part of their special day 🥰

As we dive into editing their photos, we can’t help but relive the magic of their celebration. Shannon’s reaction to the sneak-preview had us smiling from ear to ear—she told us the images brought her to tears, which as photographers is one of the biggest compliments we can ask for! 📸

We absolutely loved working with Kevin and Esther during their wedding day. Despite pre-warning us that they don’t love having their photo taken, the pair were absolutely phenomenal - proving that you don’t need to ‘know your angles’ and rehearse poses to take beautiful photos together. You just need to be comfortable: with each other, in your environment and most importantly, with your photographer!

Often we hear stories about resident photographers who are a little “old school” shall we say, who pose their subjects in really awkward prom-style positions - and we’re not about that. For us, we lean into the connection we have with our couples, and adapt our shooting style accordingly. We want our couples to be themselves, be relaxed and most importantly - be themselves!

Most weddings we photograph there’s typically a sit-down meal or buffet - but recently we’ve been witnessing more and more couples spending less on venue formalities, and more on variety! From tuk-tuks and trailers to hog roasts and pizza deliveries 🍕

What are you planning to do when it comes to feeding your guests? 🤔 For us, as much as we love the idea of a lovely sit-down meal, there’s something about the hearty grab-and-go food vendors that bring a certain level of social-ness. Also, choosing multiple food vendors (please be sure to check with your venues first) means there’s something for everyone!

We had an absolute blast zooming around the golf course at The Shropshire with Alice & Sam during their wedding day - what a way to have some fun and get away from guests for a little while. We spent half an hour or so driving around to some beautiful spots overlooking Lilleshall Hill and the surrounding areas - and of course, took some gorgeous rural shots. ⠀

We’re big fans of black and white photos - there’s something about the moody contrast that speaks to our souls. It’s funny actually, because most of our wedding clients don’t really have opinions on black-and-white photography until they see how gorgeous their shots look in their black-and-white copies! 😂
