We have all got history right? A dark past, well this is mine. Now you know something about me. This particular image and the effects after is what pushed me to try find some normality and another focus.

This image was the very last patrol of that operation, summer of 2009, Sangin DC.

I turned to photography and it gave me a whole world of peace, ive gone from strength to strength with it, started off taking photos with what seemed to be like a potato, camera to camera then onto the big boy cameras, then nikon converted to Sony.

My passion for photography is rooted deep within and will never leave me. Here is a quick digital enhancement from an old photo someone took. Using lightroom tools to bring it back to life. Not bad for a photo that was taken 16 years and 4 months ago in the desert.

Dartmoor Collective pt1

All images taken at 600mm only using my Sony GM lens, I love whipping this rocket sized lens out because it gives a further reach and a whole different perspective, it captures close scenes that usually stick in the mind rather than whole area shots with alot going on. I love mixing my compositions up a little bit.

Almost head to toe in , if i hadn't of left my trusty cap in Northern Ireland a few weeks back it would of been on my head. Rolling in dartmoor with powergrid and polartec is the only way to stay warm when out with the camera kit, centurion gloves tucked away in my day sack. Wouldn't rely on any other kit.
