A totally gorgeous start to the 2026 wedding season at Potager Gardens with Adam & Talia last Bank Holiday Monday. One week already!! Huge congratulations to you both ! 🥂⭐️😘💥.

Let’s talk – ‘confetti!’ … The confetti shot can be one of the most dynamic aspects of a wedding day (if you’re having confetti that is)… after the formalities of the ceremony it can be a joyous release!

How to confetti!?

Here are the key points:

1. LARGE paper tissue petals / circles / shapes / work best, though the general rule is – BIGGER is better! (So that could be dried petals too).

(but biodegradable tissue paper is best!).

2. whatever you go with, ensure there’s LOTS of it, and make sure you use it! (no point in taking it home).

3. Leave it to me! I’ll get my ‘assertive hat’ and gently heard the cats and rally the troops and give guidance to the wedding party and to the newlyweds

4 I’ll consider the practical details; the best place for the aisle, spacing, the available light, wind direction and terrain and so on…

5. Confetti canons, not essential but they can be a good addition. A couple punctuated down the confetti aisle is works well; if you’re going to use more than two ensure they are well spaced out.

6. Lastly, confetti has the uncanny ability to get everywhere! Don’t forget to smile and have fun whilst you’re thinking of how you’re going to get out of your > insert place you didn’t think it would land! <

‘The Great Wedding Bake Off’.

With a series of ‘Bake Off’ currently running on Channel 4 at the mo, I thought it would be a good time to highlight this amazing chapter of Lucy & Chris’s wedding at Hallsannery House, North Devon.

After the planned wedding cake maker wasn’t able to make their cake, Lucy & Chris were presented with a problem… and they found an ingenious solution!

As fans of bake-off, they thought it would be fun to invite members of the wedding party to step up and bake a cake, voilà – ‘The Great Wedding Bake Off’ was born!

And boy did the wedding party rise to the occasion! It was so much fun, and it became a key point in the wedding day itinerary … Each cake had such a personal vibe and revealed different aspects of the couple’s story, sometimes with cutting precision! (Excuse the pun! Soz, wedding party joke! See pic of VW van with huge scrape through the side!).

Well done to all the Star Bakers! Not a soggy bottom in sight! And well played Lucy and Chris! So innovative and so game!!

For the second part of the ‘U Got The Love Classics’ I’ve chosen this champagne moment from Mike & Kirsten’s epic wedding.

It was the first of many I’ve been lucky enough to shoot there, and I’m chuffed to be one of their recommended suppliers now.
