This October, I’ll be leading a small, research-focused Wild Cat Research Expedition in northern Costa Rica alongside Marvin Biedermann, founder of Ark Expeditions.
From October 17–26, we’ll be working directly in the field, combining my background in wild cat research and camera trapping with Marvin’s extensive experience leading high-level wildlife expeditions. This is not a standard wildlife tour. It’s an immersive, hands-on research experience designed for people who want to understand how conservation work actually happens on the ground.
You’ll learn the art and science of camera trapping as we use it in real projects, from selecting sites and installing DSLR and trail camera systems to managing data and interpreting results. You’ll be actively involved with the same methods we use to document elusive wild cats and support long-term conservation efforts.
Beyond the technical training, we’ll be exploring exceptional habitats, encountering wildlife, and visiting active research sites across northern Costa Rica.
The expedition is limited to just 10 participants to keep it focused, personal, and field-driven.
If you’ve ever wanted to move beyond observation and gain real conservation field experience, this expedition was built for you.
