Drinks shoot for .drinks in Bristol, working with movement, colour and the small gestures that make a glass feel alive. Drinks are rarely patient, so you take the frame when the pour, the hand and the glass decide to behave.

Shoot for in Bristol.

Steak does not need much theatre when it is cooked and served properly, but it does need timing. The slice, the table, the sauce pour, the small details that make the food feel alive before anyone picks up a fork.

This set was built around movement, texture and appetite, keeping the mood of the restaurant while letting the beef do most of the talking.

Masterclasses are often remembered for the techniques.

This one will stay with me for a different reason as well.

During his recent class at , shared not only the precision and creativity behind his desserts, but also the attitude that makes great chefs and teachers stand out. Open, approachable, generous with his knowledge and genuinely engaged with every student in the room.

The desserts were, of course, exceptional. Beautifully balanced, technically precise and full of detail. But what struck me most was how accessible David remained throughout the class, taking time to explain, demonstrate and answer questions without ever making the process feel intimidating.

A reminder that mastery is not only about what you create, but also about how you share it.

I spent the last Bank Holiday with my friends at in Hayle.

As usual, the camera came with me.

No shoot planned, no brief, no client waiting for the images. Just a Cornish blue sky, good company, cocktails being mixed and a few moments that caught my eye.

One of the things I enjoy most about hospitality photography is that it rarely switches off. Whether I am working for a client or simply visiting friends, I still find myself looking at light, shape, colour and timing.

Cornwall always seems to make that easier. The coastline, the pace of life, the quality of the light and the connection between food, drink and the people behind it all create an environment that is hard to ignore through a viewfinder.

A few frames from a sunny afternoon in Hayle, spent with friends, a camera and a cocktail shaker never too far away.

Part of an ongoing project for @ , producing imagery for a 250-page brochure covering everything from fast-moving product lines to more editorial hero visuals. On this particular day, over 40 bread varieties passed through the set.

One of the advantages of coming from a chef background is understanding how products are intended to be used, plated, shared and sold, not just photographed. Delice de France gave me complete freedom on the art direction and styling, allowing the work to move beyond simple catalogue photography and build more atmosphere around the range.

Shot at their Southall HQ, just outside London.

High-end culinary branding depends on a content library that accurately reflects technical expertise.

The masterclass at is a study in a specific philosophy of pastry. Documenting this work requires capturing the structural and textural details that define his style—from hyper-realistic fruit forms to minimalist, ingredient-led plating. These results represent the standards achieved during his time in Cheltenham, showcasing a move away from traditional sweetness toward complex flavor profiles.

For those tracking the schedule in Cheltenham, the full itinerary of upcoming masterclasses is available on the website. It is an essential hub for professionals looking to refine their craft with the industry's leading chefs.

To the pastry community: when looking at a guest chef's work, do you prioritize the aesthetic realism of the dish or the unique combination of ingredients?

There is a specific kind of light that defines life at .

Capturing the atmosphere near Exeter requires a focus on both the vibrant and the refined. From the rustic, sun-drenched layers of a blood orange cake to the sharp, directional shadows of a limited edition single malt, the goal is to make the viewer feel the environment as much as the product. These high-contrast frames are designed to showcase the diversity of the Kenton Park lifestyle, shifting from the warmth of a farmhouse table to the quiet sophistication of the tasting room.

The has that unmistakable atmosphere of a traditional country pub, where the focus remains on homemade fare served with genuine attention to detail. Capturing the character of a location like this requires a balance between the moody, historic interiors and the vibrant, honest quality of the food.

The success of a shoot is often determined long before the first frame is captured. During a recent session, the kitchen team arrived fully briefed and ready with a clear itinerary, while management and front-of-house staff ensured every location and set requirement was fulfilled on the spot.

That level of coordination is exactly how it was possible to cover 25 separate dishes in a single half-day session. It’s a common question from clients—how much content can you really get in a morning? When the team is this well-prepared, it’s not just 25 shots; it’s a full library of wide angles, hero shots, and technical close-ups for every single plate.

The day was made even better by the all-day assistant—the pub’s resident Labrador, who stayed on set to keep the workflow on track.

For hospitality brands, this kind of preparation is what turns a simple shoot into a season’s worth of high-quality content. Does your current imagery truly reflect the effort your team puts into the menu?
