Last week I saw a post that said…

‘What a privilege to clean a home that was made dirty by a healthy child playing. Dishes were dirty because we ate 3 meals, and laundry to be done because we all had clothes to wear today’

M O T H E R H O O D

Lately I have fallen in love with the banalities of motherhood. Not all of them, safe to say cleaning the food off the highchair & floor is still pretty high on the cons list, but I will certainly miss the way my little one always has one foot up on the high chair table, her offering me her sticky half chewed food, toothpaste everywhere, laundry taking an extra hour, still finding paint days after the painting, midnight cuddles, being her climbing frame, talking to each other all day albeit in gibberish. I toyed with whether to post these photos or not as they are far from flattering & technically flawed, but for me they imperfectly perfectly show motherhood (my motherhood journey at least. I am sure some people’s journeys are a little more aesthetic!).
