VEHICLE STOLEN FROM PARK STREET

Between 18:30 on 07/06/2026 and 05:30 on 08/06/2026 unknown offenders stole an 18-plate white Ford Transit without keys from outside an address in Park Street, Tamworth.

If anyone in the vicinity has any CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage or any relevant information then please contact Staffs Police on 101 or via the online form or Live Chat at www.staffordshire.police.uk quoting incident number 113 of 08/06/2026.

We have recovered a firearm and ammunition from an outbuilding in Tamworth.

Officers carried out a warrant at a property on Tamworth Road in Amington at around 7.20pm on Tuesday (2 June).

A firearm and ammunition were recovered.

Officers also seized class A and B drugs as well as related paraphernalia.

A 39-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, both from Tamworth were later arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm without a certificate, possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate, possession of class A drugs, M**A; possession with intent to supply class B drugs, cannabis; and possession of criminal property.

The woman has been placed on conditional police bail while our inquiries continue.

The man, who was subject to licence conditions at the time of his arrest, has since been recalled to prison.

Occ 21260090582 - ASB - Suspicious male

Hi everyone



We have received reports that on 04/06/2026 at approximately 16:30Hrs, a suspicious male was seen loitering in bushes near to children, on Lakeside, next to 'KETTLE BROOK LAKE'



The investigation is currently ongoing and we are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed this incident, or has taken footage.

CHARITY BOX THIEF ARRESTED

| A man who stole a charity collection container from McDonald's has been arrested.

On Friday 29th May at around 11:45 we were called to Asda, Ventura Park following a report of an aggressive shoplifter who had made off from the location.

Officers attended within minutes and located the offender outside Next. Items found on the male revealed he had also been shoplifting from Boots.

The 35-year-old male, from Birmingham, was arrested for these shoplifting offences.

He was also identified as the offender for an incident wherein a charity box was stolen from McDonald's Watling Street on 15/05/26. He was therefore further arrested for theft.

The male was also wanted for offences by West Midlands Police for which he was further arrested for.

He remains in custody at this time.

ARRESTS FOLLOWING GLASCOTE RD INCIDENT

| On Wednesday 27th May 2026 at around 19:05hrs we were called to the Texaco garage on Glascote Road following a report of shoplifting wherein the offenders had become violent towards staff.

Two males & a female had tried to take goods without offering payment and, when challenged by staff, became aggressive and used bricks & shopping baskets to attack the shopkeeper. The trio initially made off from the location with a number of bags of stolen items including alcohol & washing up tablets.

Officers made the location within minutes and located one of the male offenders. The second male offender made off on foot and fence-hopped through gardens, causing damage as he did so, and was eventually apprehended in Argyle Street.

The female was also located a short while later.

A 41-year-old male, 31-year-old male and 38-year old female were all arrested for shoplifting.

The 31-year-old male was further arrested for a number of other offences including criminal damage, assault and resist arrest.

The males have since been released on conditional bail. The female has been detained for court for other unrelated offences.

On Friday 15th May, officers from our Neighbourhood Team linked in with officers from British Transport Police - Midlands at Tamworth train station.

Both uniformed and plain clothed officers took part in the operation wherein persons were randomly selected for stop searches.

The operation was part of a national initiative called and forms part of the campaign.
