Last night forty of our team members received the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal, presented by Derbyshire Constabulary's Chief Constable Rachel Swann. We were delighted to be joined by Derbyshire High Sheriff Michael Copestake, fellow team members and family & friends for a celebration evening at Derby Museums on The Wardwick.
The medals were awarded to serving frontline members of the police, fire, emergency services, prison services and the Armed Forces. Acting as a token of the nation’s thanks, the Platinum Jubilee Medal follows a long history of awarding medals to mark Royal Jubilee’s, with the first one awarded to mark the 50th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s reign in 1887. The medals are awarded to both paid and volunteer emergency service personnel with 5 years of service.
A further nine team members were unable to attend the evening, and will be receiving their medals from the team leader in due course.
A big thank you to all of our supporters, friends and family who continue to support us.
With Special Thanks to Carter Jonas & Walden Photography
