In my infancy as a photographer i had several images published in New Zealand Geographic and NZ Geographic/Fuji Film Southern Exposure Book and the Guardian Newspaper. Since then i have sol

d my portfolio of images through Getty Images, selling to a worldwide base of clients from Skyscanner to Random House publishing. If there is a storm brewing you will find me back in my hometown of Porthcawl seeking that front page photo or on a new moon out photographing the Milky Way and the night sky. Hi everyone, some of you may already know that i am fortunate again this year to be part of the amazing Secret 7” sleeve design and auction raising money for the wonderful Warchild with one of my surreal collages.

With the auction closing on Wednesday 2 September, there are just days left to bid on one of 700 unique record sleeves (including mine which is featured somewhere in this photo 👀) each created by an incredible artist interpreting one of seven iconic tracks, all while supporting 's work with children affected by conflict.

My attempt of the partial solar eclipse sequence from Rest Bay, Porthcawl shot at 35mm.
The central part of the sequence (the peak of 93% ish cover give or take) i decided to switch lenses briefly and shoot at a longer focal length, i thought i had enough time to do it between my 2 minute interval but i was wrong on that one, however during my edit i was able to seamlessly add it in.

The fire is still burning near Margam mountain. This was around 10pm.

Lightning over Swansea, illuminating the beach at Rest Bay, Porthcawl. Was a strange orange glow to the sky and lightning, not sure if there was any fires happening on Gower yesterday from the heat or was just dust in the air.
