I disappeared from posting for years and now I’m posting for 100 days straight.

There was heartbreak, loss, surgeries, moving house, more loss, grief etc etc etc a plethora of reasons one would say.

The business I love took a back seat while I focused on ya know

So this challenge isn’t really about posting.

It’s about showing up again. For real this time.

It’s about rebuilding.

It’s about creating.

And it’s about sharing the intimate, cinematic moments that made me fall in love with photography in the first place.

Three Cliffs Bay will always have a big piece of my heart. It’s one of those places that feels like a big breath out.

This family session was filled with adventure, freedom, and uninterrupted joy (except for shell inspection). We wandered, played splashed and ran over all the sun was going down behind the cliffs.

One of the things that I love to make sure I do during family sessions is to make sure there is time just for the parents to have some photos together. To spend some time together. Not just as parents but as two people who are best friends and deeply in love, there’s something so beautiful about the playfulness that comes out when they get a minute to just be together - no rushing, no parenting, just enjoying being with one another.

I know how important it is to have that time and to carve out space for your person, and it’s not always easy with children around. So that’s why I always make sure there is time just for the two of you as a couple.

Wales has my heart. And these two might just have a bit of it, too. ♥️🌊

I thought these deserved their own spot on the grid because are you jokingggggg!!!! These guys were an actual dream.

They flew from the US to join me in the Gower Peninsula for their anniversary and what an honour that was.

We explored and played in the ocean while the sun blazed ahead and it was beautiful. Did I wear jeans? Yes. Do I regret it? That’s questionable. But what I know is I did not care how heavy my jeans got with water and sand because we were having the absolute best time.

After the shoot I went for a swim and to date it’s on of my favourite shoots ever. And this was only part of it!

I had the incredible honour of photographing my best friend’s wedding in the dreamy, historic city of Cambridge. Although I’m based in Wales, I’ll travel anywhere love takes me, but of course with , I’d travel anywhere.

I’ve seen so many types of ceremonies. But nothing compares to photographing someone you love, someone who knows your heart, as they marry theirs. My hands held the camera but my chest held back tears (I did not succeed) 😭🥹

This day reminded me of why I love what I do no matter where I go. It’s about connection. It’s about people. It’s about the stories that deserve to be seen and remembered, just as they are, honest, soft, beautiful, a heck lot of fun.

I’m still not over this day. And I’m not sure I ever want to be.

From having my images published in Juno Magazine earlier this year to become their newest columnist, these past few months have been a whirlwind of unexpected joy and pride.

Though I’m sure my official acceptance email should have been a touch more professional, I found myself and my hands typing ‘YES OMG YES I WOULD BE HONOURED!!!’ with more exclamation points than I would have deemed acceptable in one piece of writing.

The column will be a regular feature in their magazine, and it focuses on varying themes around birth and imagery, a topic of which I am deeply passionate about.

Birth has been a very prominent part of my life for the past 7 or so years, through photography, growing and welcoming my own children, birth partnership to gaining my doula qualification, so I am thrilled to be able to document it and the beauty of its documentation with Juno.

So keep you eyes peeled for Juno Magazine’s newest columnist, complete with words and musings and imagery from births over the years, each focusing on a different theme for every issue.
