Well… this isn’t quite the post I imagined writing. 🤍

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve disappeared to over the last few months, this reel should answer all of your questions.

Life has looked very different recently.

As many of you know, Ed is in the Army and we’ve recently moved to Cyprus for a two-year posting. That meant packing up our home, closing my Swansea studio, loading our lives into a campervan and driving nearly 3,000 miles across Europe with two teenagers and a very confused Cockapoo.

It’s been exciting, emotional, exhausting… and one of the biggest adventures we’ve ever taken.

The hardest part by far was closing the studio.

The Copper Lens has never just been a business to me. It’s been years of photographing your newborn babies, watching those babies become big brothers and sisters, celebrating first birthdays, family sessions and everything in between. Some of you have been with me for years, and that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

But don’t panic…

This isn’t goodbye.

For the next two years, The Copper Lens simply has two homes.

☀️ Cyprus – I’ll be photographing relaxed golden hour beach sessions filled with sandy toes, salty air, calm chaos and all the beautiful little moments that make your family yours.

🎄 Swansea – I’ll still be coming home for my Christmas Mini Sessions and Mother’s Day Minis, so you’ll definitely be seeing me again very soon.

If you’ve followed me for a while, thank you for sticking around while life turned itself upside down.

And if you’re new here… welcome. You’ve joined us at the start of a pretty exciting chapter.

The women who raised you.
The ones who shaped you.
The ones who now hold the next generation in their arms.

Photos like this are rare.

Not everyone gets the chance to stand side by side with the women who built their village… and see four chapters of a family story in one frame.

One day, this photo will mean more than anyone in it can imagine.

This Mother’s Day feels like the perfect reminder to celebrate the women who came before us — the mums, the nans, the great nans — the ones who quietly hold families together.

Mum & Me Minis are back on 7th March - and they’re for every stage of motherhood.

And they’re for all ages. Babies, big kids, and teens…even bring your own mum or nan along for the most special three or four generation portrait 🤍

One day, these will be the photos your children hold onto.

✨ VIP booking opens Friday 27th at 7pm for past clients
✨ General sale opens Saturday 28th at 7pm

Sessions are limited. And they won’t hang around for long.

I think what’s really hit me this week is that for so many of these little ones… it’s their very first Christmas 🎄✨

Their first twinkly lights.
Their first tiny Christmas outfit.

And the thing is — next year they’ll be bigger, louder, running around, and this little version of them will just be a memory. 🥹

That’s why I love these sessions so much.

They’re more than just photos — they’re little reminders of a time that’s already slipping away, even while we’re living it. ❤️

The cheeky smiles, the belly laughs, the twinkly eyes — each one with their own little personality shining through.

Absolutely loving all your little ones coming into the studio this week.

I promise I’m going to try and share some of my favourites - but this little one’s personality was absolutely brilliant, and she brought all the energy, the last picture is golden!
