So here we go… October 1st… it’s time! For the last month I’ve been turning the studio into things it had absolutely no business becoming.

Eight ideas, Eight shoots, Eight completely different mad worlds!

No brand… No client brief…. No one saying what it had to be. Just Halloween as an excuse to get carried away, collaborate with a load of ridiculously talented people and make weird s**t purely because I can.

Some beautiful…Some horrible… Some properly fu***ng strange.

AN OCTALOGY OF CORRUPTIONS

You’ve seen glimpses… Now what I let out!

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
If it is broke… apparently just pretend you didn’t notice and hope for the best 😂

Owning a photography studio is basically 50% shooting and 50% discovering another thing you didn’t want to…

At least the photos still look expensive. 🫠

Stay Focused… Stay Functioning, somehow!!

Back with the family for this one… Quick little post from today !

at 📸 In, out, job done… no drama this time 😂

Always a good one when it’s these boys though 🖤

Stay on edge… Stay Focused.

This one started with a bit of fabric, a complete lack of overthinking… and the same energy that starts most bad ideas

No moodboard, No deep creative speech, Just “this could work” and the confidence to not talk ourselves out of it.

A few questionable decisions later… and suddenly it’s looking like we planned it all along. Nothing deep… Just pushing it far enough that it works.

Stay ‘deliberate’…Stay Focused.

There’s a point in these sessions where everything just locks in! No one’s talking… Everyone’s just doing their thing.

Lights dialled… 💡
Sound rolling… 📢
Camera moving… 🎥

And for a minute it doesn’t feel like work… just people making something that actually matters.

Stay in the moment… Stay Focused 📸

You’ve got a room full of grown adults…

Fully dressed in black…£5k+ worth of gear on them…
Standing off to the side like this waiting to be let in like a dog who’s just heard the lead come out!!

No talking.
No eye contact.

Just a shared understanding of… “it’s nearly time.”

Then the second that barrier moves… Different people

Stay feral... Stay Focused.

There’s a moment when you meet someone else doing this full time…

And you can just tell immediately… they’re built a bit different.

Same energy. Same obsession…Same “this probably isn’t normal but it’s working so we move” mindset.

Just a mutual understanding of “yeah… we’re not wired like everyone else.” 🤪

And honestly… good! Because the normal route looked boring anyway.

Stay unhinged… Stay Focused!

I was literally just there to open the studio… maybe sort a light or two… be useful for once.

Then this walks in… And you know when your brain does that thing where it goes “don’t get involved… not your job…STAY IN YOUR LANE!!!”

…and your hands are already on the camera before you’ve finished the thought.

Yeah… I lasted about 3 minutes. There’s a certain type of setup where standing still just feels wrong. Like you’re watching something you should be part of… just too good to leave alone!

So… I got involved.

No plan. No brief. No permission… Just instinct and a bit of poor self control (of course) Happens more than I’d like to admit!! 📸

Stay curious. Stay a problem. Stay Focused….
