Welcome to the work of multi-award winning photographer and author, Maria Munn, whose dream it was to learn about sharks and the ocean after being run over twice, left with head, internal injuries and 15 fractures resulting in a new name of "Robo Rep" due to the amount of new metal plates. Maria pioneered the first ever courses for beginners to learn how to take photographs with compact cameras back at Birmingham's NEC in 2005. She launched the PADI Digital Underwater Photography Course the following year and since that day, has helped over 23 guests win prizes, has written for the Sunday Times, photographed Stacey Soloman, launched Shark Conservation Campaigns with John Prescott, one of our previous Deputy Prime Ministers and given numerous talks at London Excel and the Birmingham NEC Dive Shows as well as her local camera club in Swanage. She herself has won the BSAC Travel Photographer of the Year Award, Publication of the Year Award in the Dive Industry 2010, chosen to be in the top 100 for the Veolia Photographer of the Year Competition at the Natural History Museum and won two Bronze Medals with Underwater Photography.com. She has also written for Sport Diver, BSAC's Dive, Wanderlust, Amateur Photographer as well as giving talks around the country to dive clubs, Calumet and popular appearances at the UK's Dive Shows at London Excel and Birmingham's NEC. She also gives talks to children on the ocean and wants to encourage the importance of our seas through her newly launched Ocean Bus "Nemo."
