Perfect Weather for a Duck….

Having had to make a run up to wales yesterday, I managed a quick visit to the Dean Forest Railway for a quick look around on the way up, managing to catch GWR Pannier Tank “9681” as she departed from Norchard with a service to Parkend in some horribly wet conditions.

New ground for me this morning! GWR Castle Class 5043 “Earl of Mount Edgcumbe” as it powered out of Wickwar tunnel this morning as it made its way down to Minehead from Birmingham Snow Hill on “The Whistling Ghost” Railtour by

Given the nature of the weather we had this week, the Class 37 was giving a fair amount of shove in an effort to reduce the fire risk.

A unique KWVR livery loco passing an equally unique station!

BR Ivatt “41241” passes through Damems Station during last months visit to the Railway.

Damems Station being unique as it’s the UK’s Smallest Operating Passenger Station! With the platform being the length of a single carriage, it’s certainly worth paying a visit if you are having visit to the railway.

Managed to get in some after work fun for Mini SouthernSteamLad today with an afternoon over at Ropley with a certain Blue Tank and Friends!

In between all the fun and ducking in for any shaded area possible, I managed to catch BR Ivatt 41312 final departure of day with the 1545 service to Alton whist the Dave waits to depart with final shuttle of the day.
