We’re excited to announce the Wearside Giants, an ambitious new 11-a-side football team made up of players from Football XL, who currently play in the Friday night league run by Football XL at Downhill Football and Gym.

We’re looking to partner with a local business or organisation who would like to become our shirt sponsor and help us fund our new team kits for the season.

⚽ Who are we?

The Wearside Giants bring together footballers from across the Football XL community who are ready to take the next step into 11-a-side football.

We want to build more than just a team — we want to create a strong identity, represent our local football community and give our players the opportunity to compete together in a proper 11-a-side environment.
