I’ll be adding my available cake smash backdrops to my Instagram highlights soon, so you can have a little browse and choose the one you love most.

For this offer, you’ll pick from one of my existing backdrops, then I’ll add matching balloons, bunting, props and cake decorations to bring the whole set together.

The offer is £349 and includes:

Usually £499.

These sessions are ideal for celebrating a first birthday, either in the month before or the month after.

If you’d like your finished images ready for the birthday itself, I’d recommend booking the session for around a month before the big day.

So many mums think they’ll just have photos of the baby.

And I get it.

You’ve just had a baby. You might feel tired, sore, emotional, puffy, not quite yourself, or like you’d rather hide behind the camera for the next six months until you’ve had a proper sleep and a hot cup of tea.

But you are such a huge part of these first memories.

Your baby won’t look back and notice whether you felt tired that day. They’ll see the way you looked at them, the way your hand held theirs, the way they were tiny enough to fit beside you like this.

Mum and baby photos don’t need to be formal. They can be soft, calm and simple, with gentle direction so you don’t feel like you’re suddenly expected to know how to pose.

You deserve to be in the photographs too.

I love it when parents have a giggle at the maternity shoot.

It shows they are feeling comfortable and relaxed with me, which is exactly my aim!

Maternity photos aren’t only about the bump. They’re about this part of your story too.

Including your partner can make the session feel even more personal. It doesn’t have to be overly posed or awkward, and you don’t need to know what to do before you arrive. You’ll be guided through it so it feels relaxed, natural and comfortable. And maybe even have a good laugh!

Newborn photos don’t need to be super complicated to be beautiful.

Sometimes the simplest images are the ones that say the most. A tiny baby curled up on a soft blanket, little hands resting exactly where they fell, sleepy features, delicate toes, and that brand new look they only have for such a short time.

This is how you remember them in your mind, so this is how I like to photograph them for you.

This is why parent photos matter during a newborn session.

Not because everyone feels fresh, rested and wildly camera ready a few days after having a baby. Let’s be real, most new parents are running on broken sleep, snacks, adrenaline and trying to remember what day it is.

But because this is one of those moments in time that you really do want to remember.

Those first days can pass in such a blur. You’re feeding, changing, winding, cuddling, recovering, replying to messages, forgetting cups of tea and learning this brand new little person all at once. It’s a lot.

So when we include parent photos, we keep them calm and simple. You don’t need to perform or pose perfectly. It’s about the way you look at them, the way they fit into your arms, and the start of your family’s new chapter together.

Maternity photos don’t have to be just about the bump.

They can also be about the two of you, at the start of your parenting journey.

That strange little window where you’re still waiting, still guessing what they’ll look like, still wondering how life is going to feel once they’re finally here. It’s exciting, emotional, sometimes a bit overwhelming, and very easy to rush through while you’re busy sorting hospital bags, appointments, baby clothes and all the tiny things that suddenly feel urgent.

Including your partner in your maternity session gives you both something to look back on from this part of your story.

You don’t need to be naturally comfortable in front of the camera. Most couples aren’t. You’ll be guided through everything so it feels relaxed and natural rather than awkward or overly posed.

A lot of women nearly talk themselves out of maternity photos.

They worry they’ll feel awkward, or they’re not glowing enough, or they’ve left it too late, or they won’t know what to do in front of the camera.

The truth is, nearly everyone has hang ups, but nobody leaves regretting having showed up. Just like this gorgeous mama-to-be.
