It’s about time I shared K&J’s May wedding day on the grid and today seemed the perfect time to do it! It seems funny to think that we were in the ‘first’ of our seemingly many heatwaves - it was certainly a scorcher, but plenty of fun and laughter was had whilst family and friends celebrated the wedding of this lovely couple.

What was extra special for me was that it was my first Essex wedding! Loved wandering around Lexden Park for the couples shots - nothing beats capturing love for me! It’s often the first opportunity to be alone as a couple after you’ve said ‘I do’, particularly proud of the natural dancing shots I was able to capture. And who loves that perfume shot?!

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I had the privilege of photographing A&E’s wedding day back in June 2025. It was such a brilliant early summers day - made even sweeter that the couple are close friends of mine; no pressure on me then! 😅

The day started with capturing the Bridal prep at a little Airbnb in Woodbridge, where the Bride, her bridesmaids and parents got ready for the wedding ceremony at Waldringfield Baptist Church.

The service was full of fun, love and laughter, with friends providing music as a worship band. We left the church for the confetti run and were treated to a glimpse of the Red Arrows as they flew down to London for the Trooping of the Colour! 🇬🇧

We headed to a nearby field for the couples shots - as well as a chance to capture the beautiful wedding car…. Meanwhile the guests headed to Waldringfield village hall for the reception.

A&E’s day was a pleasure to capture and I hope you love looking through a small selection of some of the photos I took on the day.

Your love story; captured, highlighted and treasured. This is one of the greatest joys of photography for me.

The days leading up to your wedding day can often seem rushed and hurried; there’s final details and decisions to be made, suppliers to be paid and dress fittings to get sorted. Engagement photoshoots offer the chance to slow down and just be you two. The two that started it all, a precious time with your partner.

It’s those shared giggles at a private joke, the whispered plans, the being silly. Those special candid moments which showcase your love. Not only that, engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to being in front of a camera and, if you didn’t already know, my forte is candid wedding photography.

Looking forward to photographing the wonderful C&L’s big day in July - you can just feel the love bursting out of these pictures right?!

NEW GLASS 📸

Purchased a new-to-me Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 telephoto lens. This thing could hold doors open and stop trains. It’s so quiet with its vibration reduction technology too! 🤤 can’t wait to use this on big shoots!

With wedding season well and truly underway (I had my first last weekend at & ), I’m often contacted by photographers who are just getting started out in the industry asking for any tricks and tips. So here’s a typical look inside my kit bag for weddings and family photoshoots!

I’m proudly team Nikon and always make sure to have two camera bodies with me for peace of mind. Not shown of course are my cleaning kits, SD cards, a Manfrotto tripod for group shots and lots of snacks - weddings are long and eating is a luxury!

Did you know that I can also shoot a 35mm film roll as an additional option? Film photography was my first entrance into the photographic world - it’s certainly given me a well rounded knowledge of camera settings and the all important exposure triangle.

As promised in my earlier reel, here are a few shots from my weekend shoot at . Just a beautiful vibe, great play spaces and so reasonably priced for families! The food and drink is amazing too - can recommend the pancakes! (They’re what my daughter and I always have when we visit.)
