For me, being able to preserve a section of people's lives is the biggest responsibility and I love that so much. I want these photos to be hung on your walls and passed down through the generations so that your children and your grandchildren can know what life was like at that time. These are photos that celebrate your life and show a little bit of your story in a beautiful way.

Expecting hot weather on your wedding day? ☀️🥵 Here’s some of my advice on what to do or change on your wedding if it’s going to be baking hot.

☀️ Water - tonnes of it…everywhere
☀️Ice…ice pops, ice cream, ice cubes ..you get the idea
☀️ Cooling stations with cold water and maybe cold cloths etc
☀️In very high temps consider vulnerable guests and discuss the possibility of them not attending the whole day or not at all if there’s no safe, cool space for them
☀️Outdoor ceremonies- rethink location and length, provide umbrellas or overhead cover
☀️ Move parts of the day to the evening or switch speeches or dancing to cooler places outside
☀️Take a more relaxed approach to everything- outfits, decor, shoes etc … far better that everyone feels comfortable than meeting an aesthetic standard
☀️Manage expectations for makeup, flowers, cake etc Not everything works in sweltering temperatures

Getting married in your own home grown wild flower meadow….I’m not sure it gets much better than that. Hannah and Will had a super relaxed, DIY wedding. Their friends and family helped make this a really personal, sustainable day. They thrifted, borrowed and grew lots of elements which made it all extra special. Here’s a little snippet!

Now the sun is back it’s the perfect time to book in your mini family photoshoots! They’re only 20 minutes, take place at a park near Sudbury, Suffolk and you get 15 photos to download after.

They’re perfect for families of little ones who don’t have the attention span for a longer shoot. Or for local families who want to grab a few portraits.

They also work great for teens and young adults who would rather die than have a full hour of photos 🫣

And lots of my families do them regularly so you get lovely photos as the kids grow.

Unlike a lot of photographers I don’t cram loads in back to back, I just slot them in around my other work so they’re easy to pop in the diary. That does mean bookings have to be fairly last minute but if you’re anything like me that’s a blessing!

The most amazing day for Rachel and George. The day started with downpours and wind and the outlook for a ceremony in the woods was pretty bleak but at the very last minute the rain cleared and they managed the whole ceremony and drinks outside until the meal started. The timing was so perfect!

They got married at Tey Brook Orchard which is one of my fave venues and they’ve had a little re-do over there so couples can get ready in the beautiful farmhouse and there’s a new marquee which is really lovely. A complete win considering the weather at this wedding!

I loved how many personal touches there were at this wedding, they made lots of things themselves from the perfume that Rachel wore to George making his own ale which was actually amazing! 10/10 and I loved George surprising everyone by joining the band for a Linken Park cover.

The sunniest, happiest, funnest wedding. Becca and Lucy got married at the brilliant Chalkney Water Meadows.. Becca described their wedding as a mix between a kids birthday party and a wedding 😂😂 🎉🎉 And that perfectly sums it up, all the emotion of a wedding mixed with all the joy of a 4 year olds party. SO much love for that!!

I loved the pass the parcel before dinner, everyone was laughing so much. I’m like why do all weddings not have this?! Plus the Mr Whippy ice cream truck was perfect for their hot wedding!! And we even managed to sneak off to feed some sheep 😂

Such a brilliant, relaxed fun-filled day. Thanks so much to Becca and Lucy for being superstars.

My proof of life video 👋🏼 after probably 6 months of not being on here 😂 don’t worry I still exist and am still busy photographing lots of joy. It’s been so long since I’ve been on here that I have no idea how anything works 🙈 will actually post some of my work soon!

And for anyone who doesn’t know me, I’m based near Sudbury, Suffolk and I mostly cover, Essex, Suffolk, North London, Cambridgeshire and will travel further afield for full day weddings.

I shoot relaxed weddings for lovely couples, full day coverage and shorter coverage for smaller events.

I also photograph families, both hour long shoots for the full experience or 20min mini shoots at a location near Sudbury, Suffolk.

If you want a wedding that’s truly relaxing I’d say look no further than Emily and Valerio’s for inspiration. A registry office ceremony with their closest people before they headed off for a meal and then said bye t everyone and enjoyed the rest of the day at a luxurious spa hotel, just the two of them!

Absolutely love that! And it was such fun relaxed vibe on the day, they arrived and left together in their tiny red car, no fuss but no less emotional or joyous than a ‘big’ wedding.

I always say it’s so so important to choose a wedding that’s right for you, whatever that looks like.

From my last wedding this year and what a brilliant one it was. They had a lunch with everyone at the family home and then walked to the church together before the most beautiful service and a short walk through the woods to the pub. Super relaxed and personal… the most fitting ending to this year which has been filled with the most genuine, generous people and such lovely relaxed weddings. I’m not sure I could be more grateful!

I’ve got so many more weddings to share from the past few months but for now let’s enjoy this last little bit of Christmas before 2026 begins!
