Introduction

I am a photographer, offering an array of services from commercial photography to portraiture, events and weddings. Also offering bespoke workshops to help you improve your own photography.

I became a professional photographer in 2006, but I've been a photographer since I was a young teenager. Photography isn't just my job, it's my passion, and I feel it shows in my work. In my heart, I'm a creative and I like to experiment with my photography. I'm also a perfectionist with an eye for detail. Professionally I've shot for magazines, newspapers and local businesses. I've covered small local events and photographed large weddings in iconic places. I've had the pleasure of photographing our fascinating locals as well as a few famous faces. My photography has taken me to amazing places around the world. I look forward to where it takes me to next.

My proudest moment - Well, that's a tough one. I suppose being contacted by Scholastic publishing who wanted to pay for the use of an image that I had taken of author Stuart Lawrence for the paperback cover version of his new book. That was pretty exciting.

The best piece of business advice I have been given is to give my customers a choice of packages. One offering the basics, one offering the ideal package and one offering extras. Since I started doing that I've been surprised at how many choose the extra package. That's been a win for me! And I'd like to think for them too.

My top tip is to surround yourself with people who lift you up and inspire you. Also, be that person for yourself.

What do you enjoy about being a Member of Stroud Businesswomen’s Network? I love how welcoming and helpful everyone is. I love how contacts are created organically. I love how its members lift each other up. SBN is unlike any other networking group I've ever attended or been a member of. Thank you.

Thursday evening with Stroud Book Festival was another fab evening this time Lansdown Hall & Gallery with Stuart Lawrence talking about his new book onstage with Sabrina Pace-Humphreys and in association with . Both Stuart and Sabrina are great talkers so there wasn't a bearing moment during the whole thing. I actually had to keep reminding myself that I was there to take photos!

A bit of creative fun with a regular client, Lorca Simons. The narrative was to unplug and enjoy the view. The view, in this case, is the Stroud Valley. My little buddy Snapper joined in on the fun.

The wings in the one image were taken from an advert of hers which I converted to a light painting file and light painted in the air behind her. She didn't ask for this, it was just something I was inspired to try.
