George Harrison became so obsessed with the sitar during the filming of Help! that he sought out Ravi Shankar for formal training in India. He practiced for hours daily, often until his fingers bled, to master the complex microtonal shifts required by the instrument. This disciplined approach transformed the sitar from a psychedelic gimmick into a legitimate lead instrument on tracks like "Within You Without You."

Chris Packham CBE. Naturalist, environmentalist broadcaster, nature photographer & author. Portrait at Stratford Literary Festival in 2015 - that’s scary as it’s 10 years ago! It is a privilege to photograph and meet so many’ celebrities’ but when the subject is also a photographer we quickly get to talking photography. He has produced some great images but he is certainly known for this great work as a broadcaster.

Heart of England Forest - friends visitors day, always a pleasure to see the statues, gardens & legacy that the great Felix Dennis left. His poetry features across the grounds but especially on a wonderful series of sculptures he called Shards.

Summer exhibition- always fun and interesting. Maybe the best work is scattered amongst the many rooms that can overwhelm. However, I’m always attracted to humour in art. So maybe this could be my favourite but sadly not found out who did it, or maybe it was just an oversight?

Just found some images from my work at the lovely Birmingham Botanical Gardens- the hospitality & events they deliver.
Love this place- my local gardens when I lived in Harborne a few years ago.
