Imagine treating a sunset photo session as a night off from parenting.

No dinner to prepare, no toys to pick up, no bedtime routines to manage. Just you and your kids enjoying watching the sun go to bed.

During our session, you don't have to worry about your normal night of making orders and negotiations that drive you crazy, you can let that be me my job for the evening.

Your only role is to be present with your kids, laugh, chase them around, share those inside jokes, and embrace whatever moods come our way.
Whether they're bursting with energy, feeling a bit cranky, or somewhere in between, your job isn’t to worry.

I’ll tell the kids where to sit and when to laugh or tickle each other and you can enjoy a night off being in charge of all the things.

And when you do just that, relax with your kids and give yourself a break from managing it all, you’ll get the best photos because of it

Something to know about me is that I will always photograph your hands.
They say eyes are the windows to your soul, I’m not entirely sure of that. I’ve found that your hands will tell me much more about you and your feelings than your face ever will.

The way you instinctively grasp your daughter’s hand in the woods, or hold onto her as you sit on the sofa. Keeping her safe and close.
The way you painted your little girl’s nails before your session and how she proudly showed my camera your work.
The softness in your hands as you hold your new son, his tiny hands holding your grown up hands.

The gentle hold of your memory book on the morning of your wedding, as you carefully pass through the pages of your life.
Your daughter holding tight to her baby sister, while you hold them both in your hands.
Your wedding guests, holding their ch*****ne flute high in the air, to toast you and your new life, celebrating you.
The newly married or engaged couple, new jewellery on your finger, symbolising what you mean to each other.

So yes, I’ll always photograph your hands.

Because years from now, when so much has changed, I think these little details will be some of the ones that take you straight back.

Their wedding day, done exactly their way.

A bouquet of flowers picked from the garden that morning, photos outside the bar where they met, their beautiful daughter as their ring bearer, no bridal party and a completely unexpected fire truck thrown into the mix.

Relaxed, personal and full of the things that mattered to them.
No fuss, just a really magical day with their favourite people

Here’s what usually happens with a newborn session…

You book the session.
Your baby arrives.
Life turns upside down.
And suddenly you’re wondering if you even have the energy to do it.

But the second we get started..

We’ll take it slow.
We’ll follow your baby’s lead.
You feed when needed, cuddle when needed and go at your own pace.
And when you see the photos later, you’ll be so glad you said yes.

Not because everything went smoothly.
But because it was real.
And real is always worth remembering

Newborn sessions aren’t just about your baby.
They’re about you too.

About the way you instinctively shush and rock and kiss the top of their head.
The way you’re holding them so carefully and so cautiously, whilst still knowing exactly what to do.

The way you already know them, even though you’ve only just met.
You might not see those things in yourself yet.

But I do.
And that’s what I hope to show you when your newborn gallery arrives

There’s something about October that just feels a little bit different.

The autumn colours, the crisp air, the darker evenings and the most beautiful light.

Sinead and Patrick’s outdoor wedding ceremony was perfect. So much emotion, so much love and the kind of atmosphere that made the whole day feel really special.

I loved photographing all the little moments in between too. The looks, the laughter, the nerves and those quiet seconds where it was just the two of them.

Some families become part of your story without either of you really noticing.

I’ve watched this little boy grow from being so tiny he fit perfectly into his mum’s arms, to the curious, adventurous little person he is now. Every time we meet, there are new expressions, new conversations, new little pieces of his personality that weren’t there the last time.

Years from now, these won’t just be photographs of what they looked like. They’ll be reminders of who they were. The way he reached for a hand without thinking. The laugh that made everyone else laugh too.

It’s one of the greatest privileges of this job. Not just photographing milestones, but quietly documenting the in-between moments that become a family’s history.

Every summer has a way of feeling endless… until suddenly it isn’t.

One year they’re asking you to push them higher on the swing. The next they’re running ahead, too busy exploring to hold your hand. The little habits you thought you’d always remember slowly fade, replaced by new ones.

That’s why I photograph the in between.

The cuddles that happen without asking.
The belly laughs over absolutely nothing.
The way your child looks for you before they smile.
The quiet moments that seem ordinary now, but one day will mean everything.

My sessions aren’t about standing still and smiling at the camera. They’re about giving your family space to simply be together. To play, explore, cuddle, laugh, and make memories while I quietly document the story that’s already unfolding.

Because one day these photographs won’t just remind you what your family looked like.

They’ll remind you what this season of your life felt like.
