Some families become part of your story without either of you really noticing.

I’ve watched this little boy grow from being so tiny he fit perfectly into his mum’s arms, to the curious, adventurous little person he is now. Every time we meet, there are new expressions, new conversations, new little pieces of his personality that weren’t there the last time.

Years from now, these won’t just be photographs of what they looked like. They’ll be reminders of who they were. The way he reached for a hand without thinking. The laugh that made everyone else laugh too.

It’s one of the greatest privileges of this job. Not just photographing milestones, but quietly documenting the in-between moments that become a family’s history.

Every summer has a way of feeling endless… until suddenly it isn’t.

One year they’re asking you to push them higher on the swing. The next they’re running ahead, too busy exploring to hold your hand. The little habits you thought you’d always remember slowly fade, replaced by new ones.

That’s why I photograph the in between.

The cuddles that happen without asking.
The belly laughs over absolutely nothing.
The way your child looks for you before they smile.
The quiet moments that seem ordinary now, but one day will mean everything.

My sessions aren’t about standing still and smiling at the camera. They’re about giving your family space to simply be together. To play, explore, cuddle, laugh, and make memories while I quietly document the story that’s already unfolding.

Because one day these photographs won’t just remind you what your family looked like.

They’ll remind you what this season of your life felt like.

If you’ve been thinking about a summer session, I’d love to tell your story

Last September I spent a weekend with three different families.
It’s taken me so long to post about that weekend because I wanted to be able to find the right words and really do each of these families justice.

Over the space of just a couple of days, I photographed three families whose stories have become intertwined with my own over the years.
Each time I look at any of the photos from that weekend, it really hits me just how much life we’ve shared together.

Between them, I’ve photographed engagements, a surprise proposal, weddings, maternity sessions, newborn sessions, family sessions and from behind the lens I’ve watched their children grow as mine have.
I’ve stood beside them on some of the happiest days of their lives. I’ve met brand new babies just days after they entered the world. I’ve watched these couples fall more in love with each other and become parents. And somehow, they keep coming back and trusting me with the next chapter.

There are moments I’ll never forget. Couples choosing their wedding date around my availability. Hearing my name mentioned in wedding speeches and ceremony readings. Those are things I never expect, and they still bring tears to my eyes because they remind me that this is about so much more than photographs.

It’s about trust.

Trusting me to witness the moments you’ll never get back. Trusting me with the people you love most. Trusting me to preserve memories that one day your children and grandchildren will look back on.

That isn’t something I’ll ever become used to.

To Mairead and Garry, Dori and Richard, Nicola and Paddy, and to every family who has invited me into their lives over the years, thank you.
Thank you for choosing me, for coming back, and for allowing me to tell your story, one chapter at a time.

It is one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I don’t think I’ll ever find the words to truly express how grateful I am

❤️😘

Sometimes you convince yourself, "I’ll do it tomorrow.”

You imagine that when the morning tantrums stop, when the chaos of school drop offs and after school rush gives way to a peaceful afternoon, the perfect moment will appear.

A moment when the little ones are laughing together, their eyes twinkling with mischief, and you’ve finally got 10 minutes to get through the life admin you’ve been putting off.

I’ve been there..
Many times.
And that perfect window so often never comes.

Life is so busy and if you’ve been meaning to book a session but just keep telling yourself “I’ll do it tonight, or tomorrow” and you still haven’t, then this is your gentle nudge to maybe reach out

It’s so easy to think of photos as just something nice to post.
But these images aren’t just for now.

They’re for the future birthdays when your child flips through an album to find their favourite photo with you.
They’re for the days when the house is quiet, and you want to remember what that sweet chaos used to feel like.
They’re for your kids to show their kids one day and say “That’s your granny. She always wore her hair like that” or “That’s the look she gave when she was trying not to laugh.”

These photos become part of your family’s story.

A tangible reminder that you were here, loving and present, showing up and building something beautiful even when it felt exhausting

Bringing home a new baby when there’s already a little one at home is a big shift.
And the feelings can be a lot.

Some kids are immediately obsessed. Some want nothing to do with the baby. And some bounce between the two by the minute.

And it’s all okay.

When siblings are part of your newborn session, we follow their lead.
We make space for snacks, cuddles, tantrums, and all the things we need to do to make sure they feel important on the day, too.

You don’t need everyone to cooperate.

Because one day, you’ll look at those photos and say,
‘That was the beginning of their very special friendship, and I’m so glad I have it to look back on’.

From their engagement session with baby Edward, to their wedding day with new baby Rosa and a much bigger Edward.

Some love stories don’t just grow, they deepen. Quietly, gently, in the in-between moments. And that’s exactly what it feels like with Laura & Alan.
Their wedding day in Belfast City Hall felt exactly like them. Relaxed, calm, no fuss, just full of love and the people who matter most.

It’s the kind of wedding that reminds you what it’s actually all about. Nothing forced, nothing for show, just a really solid, magical kind of love ❤️

P.S. Scroll to the end for Laura and Alan’s Engagement photos 😍
