Right… I’m having a little ramble in this video 😂 but there’s actually a really important reason behind it…

I’m trying to raise £925 towards The Myself Portrait Project, and I’d absolutely love your help. 🤍

For just £5, you can make a donation to the project AND be entered into my raffle for the chance to win an A3 framed portrait of up to two people, drawn by me, worth £310! ✏️🖼️

Every £5 really does make a difference.

The £925 will help me pay for the final exhibition in March 2028, where I’ll bring together and display all of the beautiful self-portraits my ladies have created throughout the project.

But the exhibition is about so much more than displaying drawings. It’s an opportunity to shine a light on the silent struggles women face every single day simply because they’re women, and to celebrate the women who have taken part in the project and the journey they’ve been on. 🤍

And reaching this target will also help me fund another woman’s place on The Myself Portrait Project, giving her the opportunity to take part too.

I’ve been putting together a new promo video for my live wedding portraiture. The full video is still very much a work in progress… but I honestly couldn’t wait to give you a little teaser! 🥹🤍

This is my favourite part of creating my live wedding drawings — seeing my couples’ faces when they see their finished portrait for the very first time.

The smiles, the laughter, the “oh my god!” moments… 🥰

These reactions are exactly why I love what I do. It’s not just about creating a beautiful piece of artwork from your wedding day — it’s about creating a moment that you, your family and your guests can experience together, and a keepsake you’ll treasure for years to come.

Yesterday was mine and my husband’s 13th anniversary 🤍✨

Looking back at our own wedding photos, including this one of our very first kiss as a married couple, got me thinking about how a wedding day is just one chapter in a much bigger love story.

This has been me at 5:30 every morning since the beginning of the school holidays… ☕️🐾✨

Up before everyone else, getting some work done with my beautiful fluffy companion on my lap. 🥰

I honestly thought getting up that early every morning would be a struggle, but it turns out this is actually when I’m at my most productive! I’ve really enjoyed having that quiet hour to myself before the house wakes up and everything becomes go, go, go.

With so many work plans and ideas buzzing around in my head, I think I really need that extra hour in the morning, so I might just continue getting up at 5 once the schools start back again this week! 😬😂

There’s lots happening behind the scenes at the moment, and I’m excited to see where some of these plans take me. ❤️

I currently have one space available on The Myself Portrait Project 💛

This is open to all women who can get to my studio in Stourbridge — and it genuinely doesn’t matter whether you’re a seasoned artist or you’ve never drawn a picture in your life!

The project offers free, one-to-one self-portrait drawing lessons in a relaxed, supportive and completely no-judgement environment. Using drawing as a mindful activity, we’ll work together over a series of sessions to help you create your own self-portrait, while taking some time to slow down, focus on yourself and hopefully see yourself with a little more kindness along the way.

The Myself Portrait Project is all about encouraging self-acceptance, wellbeing and reminding women that it’s okay to take time for themselves. You don’t need to be “good at art” to take part — just willing to give yourself a little time and try something new. ❤️

Because sometimes, as women, we all need a little nudge to put ourselves first.

There’s something so special about creating a portrait that has a whole story behind it. ❤️✏️

This was a particularly lovely commission for a returning customer, who wanted to create something really personal for her best friend’s birthday.

Alongside the drawing of the two of them is a beautiful poem that she wrote about the special moments they’ve shared, the memories they’ve made and the bond they have. 🥰

The portrait also includes a special symbol they created together to represent their friendship — a symbol that they’ve both had tattooed. How lovely is that? ❤️

I absolutely love commissions like this because it’s not just a drawing… it’s a little piece of someone’s story, captured forever. 🥰

Happy birthday to her best friend, and thank you so much for trusting me with such a meaningful gift! ❤️

I’m so excited (and a little bit nervous! 😬) to say that I’ve been booked for an interview on The Wellbeing Hour with Jen Goldie on Black Country Radio! 🎙️❤️

I’ll be talking all about The Myself Portrait Project — how it came about, what it means to me, and the amazing women who are taking part. 🥰

Hopefully, it’ll also be a great opportunity to spread awareness of the project and raise some more funds, so that even more women can take part in the future. ❤️

It’s not until November, so thankfully I’ve got plenty of time to prepare and try not to panic about what on earth I’m going to say! 😂

I’m genuinely really excited to have the opportunity to talk about something that means so much to me. ❤️
