So originally, this workshop was taking place tomorrow at Lichfield Maize Maze but thunderstorms have forced me to reschedule to
MONDAY 31st August (this Monday)
It was a sold out event but a couple of the photographers cant make the new date. I'm opening up the booking again incase anyone wants to join us!
2 equine and 2 human models styled in gowns in a sunflower field and wildflower meadow (exclusive use). It's limited to 8 photographers and I will be hosting a follow up editing evening too.
It's a great location and the models are brilliant, gutted we've had to push it back a day, but it will be worth it!!

I will be prompting and posing the models as I do with my usual clients so you can "shoot along" with me. It's not a teaching workshop so you will need to be confident in operating your camera and settings

It's a full day course where we have 3 different shoots with horses and a gorgeous model, and go over the basics of posing, settings, equipment, locations, equine body language etc etc.

Biggest irritation is people assuming my work is Al ( yes we've all had a play around with it when it first became accessible, until I found out the damage it does to the world.

A huge piece of advice for new photographers? Learn how to use photoshop without generative ai, because one day because one day you will have a pile of edits and not a scrap of internet signal to be able to complete it (plus the environmental damage).

Learn your craft without the harmful shortcuts, it will make you a better creative 🐴📸❤️

The best advice I can give you (no matter your level of expertise) as an award winning photographer with a 15 year strong business. The last one is the very most valuable piece of advice, but above all, you will never regret having more photos

Today is and a great excuse to remember why I started taking photographs in the first place.

Being a photographer is my full time job, this isn't a hobby for me, it's how I pay my bills. But it's more than that, it HAS to be more than that because that's what drives you forward, pushes you to keep going.

You never stop learning and you never stop seeing and THAT is the secret to being a photographer.

This years Sunset “Shoot along” in the Sunflowers is taking place at Lichfield Maize Maze with me Angelfire Photography

Join me Angelfire Photography for a portfolio evening in the beautiful sunflower and wildflower fields Lichfield Maize Maze at sunset.
Half the places sold to past students but there are a few left. Group size is limited to 8 people.
2 human models and 2 equine models staggered through the evening, styled in keeping with my usual work. This will be similar to a client simulation and I will set up, pose and prompt our models as I usually do for a session so you can "shoot along" with me. Its not a teaching workshop so you would be expecyted to understand the settings on your camera. Last nights shoot with .onnie and her girls was so beautiful in the golden embers of the evening light 🥹 can every shoot be at sunset from now on please? So many shoots to come this week, hopefully I can share some images ❤️📸🐴

Phone cameras are getting better with each new update but they don't hold a candle to a professional camera....yet. What do you think?
