Portfolio Builder Days are a joint venture between prolific photography trainer Andrew Appleton and owner of Saracen House Studio, Andrew Griffiths. They are intended to be the next logical step for those who have attended workshops or have some photography experience that they would like to progress to the next level. Although PBDs are not workshops, we offer guidance and assistance during the da
y; the idea of the day is that the photographers are able to create the images with you and that they can add something special to their portfolios. Depending on the event, each model will be working for around 60-90 minutes with each group of photographers and each group will contain a maximum of four photographers. Some events will be styled or themed, some will be more varied in terms of wardrobe and we will advise you at the time of booking you what you’ll need to bring with you to the venue. We do encourage photographers to shoot each model individually; we believe that having full attention with one photographer at a time offers the best shots to everyone rather than having everyone getting something almost the same. However we do suggest that you work with your group and politely discuss your preferred way of shooting, for example each photographer shoots one at a time or whether you’re happy for multiple photographers to be shooting simultaneously.
