Very different style of image today, this one from a studio session with the ever gorgeous Nina who suggested the idea of 'suit' shoot. It was about this time last year that my portrait project got totally drowned out by a never ending deluge of work and many of my images never actually made it out into the world. I'm hoping to rectify that, all be it slowly. This was the first image that stood out to me tonight, and weirdly it wasn't one I'd picked out the first time round. This blue door has graced a few of my images before so you might recognise it, but this time it is with the stunning Eva Rose, modelling last year at the 6T Courtyard Networking night.

A few months ago the fabulously talented Annabella did a wonderfully dark shoot with me in the studio, the results of which I submitted for publication with Gothesque Magazine. It was one of my goals for this year to get published so I was super excited when they got accepted. It did however mean that I had to keep them exclusive until the issue came out, but it's finally here, yay!

(Side note: I realise I kind of disappeared off the face of the earth there for a while, sorry about that! Life and technical hitches have been keeping me away however I'm slowly finding my way back!)

Chris, the fabulous model pictured here, came by the studio last week with this idea of doing a ballet/sculptural type set of images . It was something very different from my other shoots this year and definitely a fun challenge to try something new (thank you Chris!). I actually played around using the natural light in my studio too which was cool although this image is one of from the flashier portion of the shoot : )

Hello!! It's been a while! Sorry for the long silence; work has been keeping me rather busy. Today however I've somehow found myself with a whole day off and no work editing to do! Yay! So brace yourself! I haven't been posting but I've still been shooting so expect a weird and wonderful mix of of random images to appear over the next few weeks. Rather behind everyone else's it seems but the daffodils in my garden have finally opened, yay! It makes me happy to see their pretty yellow heads wobbling around in the breeze : ) To celebrate the (late) coming of spring to my home here's a photo from a few weeks back with the lovely Nina, who kindly did a lot of graceful swooshing, swirling and leaping for me in the pursuit of the perfectly shaped skirt flare. Yesterday was my first proper natural light outdoor shoot for my portraits project. I've become so used to using my strobes I was a little nervous! Thankfully the lovely Annabella agreed to model for me (with her fabulously newly coloured hair) so thanks to her awesome skills we got some pretty cool results. It's been all systems go for the last 6 weeks or so with commercial work so alas my portrait project has had to take a bit of a back seat, however I am still shooting! Hopefully will get chance to post some more of my weekly sessions soon but in the meantime this is the beautiful Pixie Doll taken at last months 6T Courtyard networking event.

The last few weeks have been manic with commercial shoots and editing but I finally had some time to play around with my week 4 photoshoot, yay! So here is a (rather delayed) edit of the beautiful and incredibly talented singer Julia Mosley. I picked this image initially just as a test edit to see how the coloured background would turn out but then I just kept playing : ) Definitely not a subtle edit but lots of fun!
