I take photographs of dogs in their natural environment running, jumping, swimming or simply posing.

This is Albus (spaniel) and Teddy having a great time running around after their ball at My Happy Hounds.
Teddy was a little unsure of me at first but he soon relaxed and enjoyed the various obstacles on offer at the enclosed field. Albus was super focused on his mam and dad but just as happy. I had a great time meeting you all and capturing that loving bond you have.

This was the most amazing shoot filled with the happiest and saddest emotions!! When I met Helen Mcguirl and her partner Steve I had not idea of what I was about to witness. They introduced me to these 2 gorgeous girls, Jasmine and Leah.

Jasmine, the one in charge of the ball, has only 3 legs.

Leah, who loves to play tug of war, has paralysis in both of her rear legs.

It was heart breaking and gut wrenching to be told that these disabilities are as a result of abuse suffered overseas. Helen and Steve have rescued them from the most horrendous of circumstances with unthinkable futures ahead.

My heart literally sank when I heard their background stories.

You can imagine my delight when I witnessed how happy and full of life they are despite their suffering and disabilities.
I've seen dogs with 3 legs manage before and always marvelled at how they just seem to manage. However I've never seen a dog do what Leah does. She walks on her front legs when she's upright!! I've tried to capture her doing just that in these images. It was amazing to see!!
So you can see why it was such a mixture of emotions for me, my heartbreak for them was quickly masked by how happy they are and what a fantastic life Helen and Steve have given them.
Thanks very much for asking me to take some photographs of your beautiful family Helen. It was the most amazing experience for me and one I'll never forget. 🥰📸🐾

This is the 2nd time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the stunning Buttons. Here he is having the time of his life in the gorgeous sunshine on the beach at North Gare with his mam and dad. As you can see he loves the water and of course chasing a stick. The loving bond between them all was a pleasure to witness and capture in these photographs. Thanks very much Sam for asking me to take some more photographs of your gorgeous boy 💙📷🐾😃👍🏻

Here we have Oakley, a gorgeous boy loving the snow and chasing his ball in Guisborough woods. He was fearless and full of fun and an absolute pleasure to photograph.

Supersonic fast Milo tearing up The Green, Thornaby in the snow. Wow!! He can move across the ground lightening quick. The ball and his dad Chris are everything to him. Talk about one man and his dog. Never a more fitting example than these two. 😃👍🏻📸🐾

Another Hugo!! This time a bit bigger in size but just as energetic and full of life. We had a couple of sessions at Sammy's Field during which he made the most of all of the apparatus available there. He loved it all, the A-frame, long jumps, tunnels, pool and logs. So much for him to do he was well and truly in his element. It was so much fun capturing such a gorgeous boy living his best life and witnessing up close the loving bond he has with his mum Lucy Steel and dad Corey😃👍🏻📸🐾

This is Hugo having a blast around the park in Darlington. He is crazy for a stick and will do anything for it. He’s a gorgeous boy and an absolute pleasure to photograph. 💙 thanks very much for buying a voucher Lyndsay and to Wade and Meg for your patience on the day. 👍🏻😃📸🐾 ❤️

This is gorgeous Jessie chasing after her ball in Stewart Park. She was an absolute dream to photograph running and jumping around occasionally getting airborne when she was in full flight. What a cracking personality she has and so much love for her mum and dad 😃👍🏻🐾📸

Wow! What a bundle of fun the gorgeous Luna is ❤️ absolutely full of life and hyper focused on her ball and her mum Jess. We had the best time running around Preston Park capturing her personality and unique bond between them. 😃👍🏻🐾📸
