On Monday we had the Chris Pike Trophy competition in memory of a past chairman and keen supporter of the club who was renewed for his creative use of composite photography combining multiple images. Last night we had our annual panel competition judged by Mark Buckley-Sharp. A panel is coherent set of images that are judge as a whole rather than each individual image. It is very difficult skill to master as the images need to be coherent across the set and mounted to make an attractive panel. Congratulations to all those that took part. Last night we had the third round of our PDI competition with a set theme (one image based on "Three", one image based on "Motion", and one image based on "Circles"). At SPS, members expand their knowledge of PRINT MOUNTING, whether done at home or professionally. Practical demonstrations and guidance are provided during Members’ Nights, and the club’s mount cutter is available for use.
We also enjoyed viewing prints and paper choices from other camera clubs during the St Ives Interprint Competition. Hope you enjoy our range of entries.
