One of my favourite things about bo***ir sessions is working alongside Kasia from Caspari Makeup Co.

We genuinely work as a team from the moment you arrive until the very end of your shoot. Sometimes we're like a comedy double act (there's usually plenty of laughter!), but every little detail matters.

While I'm concentrating on the lighting and composition, Kasia is making sure your hair is sitting perfectly, jewellery is in the right place, straps aren't twisted, outfits are styled beautifully and each look comes together exactly as planned.

Neither of us expects you to know how to pose or what to do. That's our job. We'll guide you every step of the way, so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience.

But don't just take our word for it...

Still slightly in disbelief...

I entered wedding images into the Legacy Photography Awards for the very first time, and to come away with not one, but two Gold Awards is something I genuinely wasn't expecting.

Having looked through the standard of the other Gold-winning images, I'm honestly gobsmacked to be among them. There is some incredible work there, so this feels like a huge milestone.

Breed in the Spotlight is back!

I know... it's nearly August! July has been a little busier than expected, but Buster's recent session gave me the perfect idea for this month's theme...

Golden Oldies. 🤎

This month we're celebrating our senior dogs (10+ years old). Not a 'breed' I know!! They may have a few grey hairs, move a little slower, or need a few more treats to get their attention, but they're every bit as beautiful as they were as puppies.

If your dog has never had professional photographs, this could be the perfect opportunity to preserve those memories of your perfect senior pooch.

To enter, simply post a photo of your dog in the comments, along with their name, age and a little about them. I'll choose one winner to receive a complimentary photoshoot.

As it's a little late in the month, I'll leave entries open for at least a couple of weeks before choosing a winner, so there's plenty of time to get involved.

Family photography isn't my usual focus, and while I can't share any images where the children could be identified, I just wanted to say how well this session went. I've delivered a huge gallery for the family to choose from, and I hope they love the memories as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

I was warned beforehand that the older sibling was very shy and probably wouldn't be keen on having her photo taken. As it turned out, she was absolutely brilliant.

My favourite moment wasn't even a photograph. She proudly presented me with a leaf as a gift. Seeing how pleased it made me, she disappeared and came back with two more. A few minutes later, though, she decided she wanted them all back! She wasn't fooled when I tried to keep just one either! 🤣
