I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve been shortlisted for the World Food Photography Awards 2026 World Food Photography Awards 26 in the Louis Jadot Wine Photographer of the Year - Produce category.

For those unfamiliar, the World Food Photography Awards are among the most prestigious global competitions celebrating food photography in all its forms. From agriculture and production to cooking, culture and consumption. The awards attract thousands of entries from photographers around the world each year, recognising both emerging and established talent across a wide range of categories.

My selected image was captured last autumn in Tuscany at Borgo Scopeto vineyard, during the harvest. It was one of those rare moments where light, place and timing all come together. I'm extremely grateful to have this work recognised for another year, amongst such talented photographers.

I’m thrilled to share that my work has been recognised in this year’s ND Magazine's Annual Awards, receiving an 'Honorable Mention' in the Advertising Category, for my series of photographs 'Gilded By Darkness | Chiaroscuro Flavours.'

This collection of leans into the beauty of deep, rich shadows and low, sculpted light. It's an approach that I adore, as it creates an understated mood that whispers rather than shouts. (Probably as it's more reflective of my own character). By embracing the predominantly darker tones, the images intensify the colour contrasts, which allows the food’s true character and texture to come forth.

To have this body of work acknowledged on an international stage, alongside extraordinary photographers from across the world, reaffirms the power of through photography.

Sometimes, after a milestone, like my award at The Siena Awards, we can be left standing at a crossroads. Recognition is powerful, but it also raises deeper questions:
• Where do I go from here?
• What do I truly want my work to become?

We just need direction and a strong foundation to build on and that foundation is often already there - it's our experience, our craft, our values, the work that has brought us this far. The choices we make to open new doors, new clients, new collaborations, new energy.

Last Thursday I was doing what I love, behind the camera, at FoodSorcery Deansgate, Manchester, capturing a brilliant day with the team from AMION Consulting. Amion are not only a group of thoroughly nice people, but also nationally recognised experts/consultants in economic development and regeneration. This time though it wasn’t their reports and strategies on the table, it was chopping boards, pans and a Team Building Cook Off! Thank you to The Food Sorcery team and chef Jan Cron who created the perfect setting (and also fed me with some delicious food).

I was there to tell the visual story. Highlighting the energy in the kitchen, the creativity of the dishes and of course the teamwork that went into every plate. From laughter over prep, to the proud moment of tasting their creations, it was a joy to document.

I always love photographing like this where people step out of their usual roles to connect in new ways. It gives the opportunity to show a different side of personalities within a team, because that’s where the real stories and images come alive.

One of my photographs is now being exhibited in an international exhibition at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography. The exhibition, titled Orange, runs until the end of the month.

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is a vibrant space dedicated to showcasing inspiring photographic work from around the world, giving both emerging and established photographers a platform to share their vision.

If you’re in Glasgow, it’s well worth a visit - the gallery is right in the heart of the city and entry is free.
