On a cold, very windy day at Ainsdale Beach trying to take a few photos of the kitesurfers. Didn't work out quite as planned, as the wind played havox with trying to keep my 150mm - 600mm lens steady. :(

A couple of black and white photos of the Gelert Explorer steam train leaving Beddgelert.
The train is part of the The Welsh Highland Railway and is the UK’s longest heritage railway. It runs for 25 miles from Caernarfon, past the foot of Snowdon, through the village of Beddgelert, through the Aberglaslyn Pass and on to Porthmadog.

Just back after a week away in Wales, and it was as close to dark skies as I've been. This is a couple of photos of the Milky Way, and sunsets, though I probably didn't go out late enough for the Milky Way, so there was still a bit of light polution around, including the sunset.
In the first Milky Way shot, I got lucky and caught a meteor. :)

Decided to have a few hours over at the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust at Martin Mere to see if the Kingfishers would make an appearance, and I wasn't disappointed, there were two of them that turned up at various times.
I also took a photo of a Moorhen feeding it's young, and couldn't resist the Flamingo with it's reflection on the way out.

Had a few days up at the Kendal Caravan and Motorhome site, and went in search of any wildlife as you do.
Didn't really find much, as the weather was against me, but I did photograph these. :)
There was a Kingfisher about, but it was way to quick for me, and I couldn't find it's fishing perch. :(

Todays high tide on Ainsdale beach with a chilly wind, so I didn't stay around long. There must have been approx 12 Kite...

Todays high tide on Ainsdale beach with a chilly wind, so I didn't stay around long. There must have been approx 12 Kitesurfers around, although when I was there, only a couple were on the water.
