Capturing the heron was a 1 in a million shot that's for sure! Wasn't expecting that when I look at the back of the camera.

Then decided to give the pigeon a real dark and moody edit for something a bit different.

The time has finally come. 😞 My trusty 24-70 had given up. It's been a workhorse for me over the last 10-12 years. For a lens that is around 24 years old it's done very well!

Unfortunately it's an internal mechanical issue that's now forced the aperture blades shut, and the focus ring to stop at 30mm

Due to the age of the lens there aren't many if any places that will repair it plus tbh I don't think it's really worth it.

So... This may be the time to upgrade my kit to go along with the R6 mkii

Goodwood festival of speed 2026

What an amazing first experience this was for me and my dad. The noise, smell and power.

It was too much for me to take in all at once, I felt I missed a lot.

Id definitely want to go again but spend more time at the rally and off road stages.

Who else has been? What was your favourite part?
