This week we have two submissions from a close friend of the shop currently sunning herself in Rhodes.

Both of these were spotted in Rhodes Old Town. The first one shows the Dama Dama Deer, better known as the fallow deer, the living symbol of Rhodes. The deer were first brought to the island by the Knights of St.John during the Middle Ages 🦌

Join us and OM SYSTEM for a fabulous free macro experience day in store at LCE Southampton. Richard from OM System will be here to talk all things Macro with hands-on setup, expert advice, live demos and event offers. Drop-in anytime from 10am–4pm and enjoy a session of macro shooting. 😍

Throughout the day, we’ll have a dedicated macro shooting setup with lighting and plants, giving you the chance to see how the system performs in a live environment and helping you understand how to create striking close-up images with detail, depth and impact. Featured products on the day will include the OM SYSTEM 90mm Macro, 60mm Macro and the superb OM-1 Mark II, with the wider OM SYSTEM range also available to see and handle. You can enjoy a short vist or longer if you wish.

Feline Friday is here again!

This is Sirius (Σείριος) – The brightest star in the sky, also known as the dog star (making this an ironic name for a cat!).

He lives on Rhodes and after a brief encounter we were told his name by a local at a nearby cafe, apparently Sirius can be found in the shade most days.
