It's Manhole Monday 🎉
This week's offering has been sent in by Sadie (a valued customer!), currently out in Cee in Galicia, Spain.
The shell at the bottom of this design is the symbol of Saint Santiago, and a sign that someone has done the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, (Camino de Santiago). The shell symbol can be dated back to the 15th century, with pilgrims being buried with shells.
